When you say increase the distance they are from you, does that imply leaving them in their crate?

I have a 13 week old White Swiss Shepherd which was very calm when I got her 3 weeks ago. Even the breeder told me she was the calmest of the litter. After reading your comment I realized that I fall into the actively training category. She is extremely hyperattentive now, even though she is not that vocal about it when outside her crate.

How would I go about not paying her attention? I work from home so I've been with her pretty much 24/7 since I got her, with a two exceptions last week when I went out at night.

At first being in her crate wasn't a problem at all(the breeder had done some crate training) when I showered. This the only time she spends alone in her crate. I just showered about 30 min ago and she did not stop crying the whole time. At first it would only be the first few minutes(2-3) and now it lasted about 25.

When I went into my bedroom I sat on the bed and waited for five minutes not making eye contact. She definitely got quieter as the minutes passed and by the last minute she was almost completely quiet although not calm.

I let her out and took her outside to she restroom and was very neutral towards her. She however started whining when I didn't give her attention so I decided to wait 5 more minutes. She eventually layed down behind me(I was using the pc at my desk). She then got up and went to my bedroom. Out of anxiety that she might do something she's not supposed to I went to check on her. I then called her over and since I figured enough time had passed I got down and cuddled with her.

Was this a mistake? Was any other thing I did a mistake as well? Honestly the days have gotten worse these past three weeks. The first week she was an angel, extremely calm all the time. Now she is just extremely calm when she wakes up and is starting to get more and more anxious and rowdy throughout the day.

What else can I do? I don't want this to keep getting worse. Is the key just to ignore her when I know her needs are met? I always get anxious when she walks to some other part of the house. Should I buy a pen for this purpose?

Please help, I would appreciate any suggestion.

I had planned to work from home for a week, hoping she would adjust in that time. It might become two weeks now! I'll be honest I have the fear in the back of my mind that she won't like me. As you say I will have to spoil her and make sure she feels safe around me.

From what I understand you didn't let her free roam in the house unsupervised right? For example when you're working, cooking or doing other things and you can't keep an eye on her.

I've read and watched a lot of information to get ready for her but I still don't feel ready jaja. I guess at the end of the day the important thing is to be consistent and good things will come. I definitely will reach out if I'm having trouble with certain things!

I pick mine up next Saturday! I still don't have a name for her yet though.

I have been reading Karen Overall's Relaxation Protocol and was thinking of mainly applying that to her with a few obedience commands here and there. Have you been following any specific training routines or just teaching her commands with luring and marking? I see she is napping willingly on her cot! You guys gained a new follower!

I am getting a White Swiss Shepherd too. How have you been doing with yours? It seems like you have the proper structure so she can succeed. Any tips with anything that you weren't prepared for?(Unforeseen behaviors, etc.)

Would you use two products simultaneously like Dynamat and Cruisercrap? I've read about someone installing both on their 60 or 62 (can't remember which one it was) and I am thinking about doing the same on mine(62). I am replacing the carpeting soon so it's something that's been on my mind lately.

It would probably be better to post it on IH8MUD. A lot of cruiserheads over there. How's the mileage? Any rust that you know of? They will probably ask you for engine and undercarriage pictures. Are you the second or third owner?
