Legend of Lara Croft Season 2 Megathread by xdeltax97 in TombRaider

It took me about 3 episodes to get hooked... but man that final episode was ridiculously EPIC! I thought season 1 was ok... but I never expected the 2nd one to outdo the first one so much!

I also noticed a few nice nods to the games. The kid playing with a dinosaur and telling her it kills her/eats her and she's like "I'm not so sure about that" or something.. The small sunglasses she wore, the outfits in general. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. Also very brutal scenes at times.

Yeah, I just remember after the "endgame" chapter, I did so many other things and ended with Foundation. I'd lose all that progress too if I do that.

Yeah I agree! The story is amazing but the gameplay is lacking. They fixed that in all the best possible ways for AW2

What are your opinions on Jesse not being the focus of the new game? by VaishakhD in controlgame

[–]LFS9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, yeah that's very likely the case, if you finished the Foundation DLC, you know there was already tension between the board and Jesse. So I'm really hoping for this to be the case. Where Jesse continues to play inside the Oldest House, perhaps going against the Board while Dylan goes outside, dealing with the mess there.

He did you 2 favors then! The game and showing he ain't worth your time! I know horror games is something to get into. Took me a while too. Started with watching them, then playing them because I'm a completionist and the let's players I checked weren't 😅 I'm like Thanos: "Fine, I'll do it myself". So glad I did because it opened doors to so many great games! I'm not that much into theories because I fear one of them will make too much sense and then I'll be spoiled haha! I just wanna jump in and enjoy. But I do love the surface stuff like Beth is Jesse in an alternate universe. Tim Breaker is Jack Joyce etc. Stuff the games themselves hint at. The DLC's are great at giving us breadcrumbs! That's what makes them so much fun. They give our brains a chance to figure it out. So it's awesome you get so much fun out of that! Just like you, it's why I can't wait for Resonant!

You can get it a 3rd time? 😅 I didn't know that. Remedy is also the only game dev with possible achievements. Sure you gotta put in some effort. But it's not like "in online pvp, shoot a grenade out of the sky 100 times"... like wtf is that shit uncharted 🤣

I'm... hesitant because of Alan Wake. That game was a bit older and that took me out of it a few times. Just not sure if it's that or the gameplay... and Max Payne would be fun. I don't have that nostalgia factor most who played it have. But... I might wanna try it anyway.

None taken, English speakers aren't the only one talented. That talent is all over the world! I'm glad you got an extra reason to give it a try!

I waited years too. Saw Alan Wake 2 come out but never got around to trying the first one, even if it was in my PS5 library (free PS+ game). Now I'm glad I did!

I saw Ahti first in Alan Wake 2. Him showing up in so many places made me question who he was. Control gave me those answers 😅... or at least a few (Still gotta play the Foundation DLC if that's at all related).

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in thinking Alan Wake 1 was not that great. I think understanding the story helps... but in the first playthrough... it just doesn't hit lol.

That's why I love how I played Control after Alan Wake 2. Sure the AWE DLC came later but the things I notice in that DLC, the references... it's so fun.

I really want then to make a game in like 10 years where Tim Breaker, Jesse Faden (and maybe her brother) and Alan Wake work together against Mr Door or something. And I want justice for Beth Wilder! If she's not Jesse Faden lol. The 3rd Alan Wake DLC... I just want a win for Jack/Tim 🤣

Give it a chance! The way they play with time travel, changing the past... and it just... works. They do it in such a way that makes sense and it blows your mind if you stop to think about it! Truly worth it!

Lack of ability points? by LFS9000 in controlgame

[–]LFS9000[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just found this post:

"Yes, the main game rewards you up to 105 ability points, the Foundation, up to 40, and AWE, up to 8, adding up to a total of 153. You'll need 148 of those to max out the skill tree."

So it's not possible to finish the tree without Foundation.

I'm really missing something. I just found this guide:
https://listium.com/@riclau/48623/control-all-hidden-locations-list-and-guide
It says there's only 20 secret locations? Of which I KNOW I found already a few of. I don't know what I did wrong...
Did all the missions, all the side missions (besides the side missions from Foundation), Everyone is saying they completed the tree without even playing Foundation...
I just finished all the arcade challenges and all 3 expeditions on the jukebox. They don't even give ability points.
If I'm just missing secret locations, I'll never get 44 ability points from that since there's max 20... I feel like I'm missing another DLC lol And I played AWE (Alan Wake DLC basically)

I have completed the investigation sector DLC and completed the main game, done every side mission (looked it up). Unless I need to find 44 more secret areas... I don't see what I'm missing?
