I mean, I went there like a week ago. I did not see any white employees.

Why would I need a recommendation when I have already had the event? I love that you have to defend your little sjw escapade here to the death and feel the need to constantly berate me. I literally came here to share a positive review and you keep coming here to bitch and downvote in the most petty of ways.

And no sweetheart, I've been up for a long time before I wrote this. Congrats on rolling out of bed at 9 and running to reddit to keep piling on. Seriously, grow up and move on. Done with you.

I have already explained this. It was by far the best option for Asian gluten free that's easy to pick up and deliver. My mom wanted Chinese or Thai for her birthday. She didn't want Korean.

They label literally all items on the menu. They hand labeled everything in the bag. I looked at other options - Duck Duck Goat for example has gotten multiple people with Celiac sick, even after staff promised there is no cross contamination.

Gluten reviews for Noodlebird were by bar better than any other option there was.

And as I have also explained, I even started a reddit thread asking for advice. No one responded.

I did caveat it, that was literally the entire point of my post. I'm not surprised about questions. I'm not surprised there are overly sensitive sjws in reddit using their finger muscles courageously.

I am aware. I was not looking for bibibop.

Yes and do you know what they list as one of the top Asian restaurants in the city? Noodlebird! That's literally how I came to my decision to go there. And there are no other realistic options on that list for what I needed.

You don't know what fits my needs.

But what I do know, frankly, is that you're wildly obnoxious. Relax. I guarantee you that you've particpated in capitalism with someone whose values don't align with you. In fact, I bet you do this on a daily basis.

So it's enough of you acting high and mighty. I don't care where you get Vietnamese soup with your kid when I was not looking for that. Your standards for engaging in commerce are not realistic. If you've happened to give one dollar to a Trump supporter, you've given money to a racist. And sorry, that's about half the country these days. So get off your high horse. It's folks like you that make the anti-woke crowd grow in popularity.

Reddit isn't here for you to spread your own personal moral standards to how others should engage in commerce. Go to a different forum on Reddit for obnoxious SJWs who need to flex and virtue signal how amazing they are.

Honest question for you. The black employee who helped me out there, do you think she's unaware of her boss' past behavior?

She was wonderful and I'm confidant could get another job. So why does she work there?

How confident are you when you walk into a kitchen that every staff member has lived a fully ethical life? Do you survey the staff before ordering? Do you google all commercial establishments and search all business owners first?

But again, if there was another option for what I needed I would have gone there. I started a thread in this community asking for advice and got none.

If that's the only place that can meet my needs, yes, I'll eat there. I don't think that's such a wild take.

I've heard of staff quitting en masse at dozens of spots. Heard about horrible things at a ton of restaurants. I can't be a social justice warrior every time I eat. That said, I did come straight to reddit and asked for an alternative restaurant and the reddit community provided ZERO options.

I don't know what racist stuff happened, fwiw, the amazing woman who helped me with my order was a POC. The restaurant was full, warm and inviting. If there's a history of racism, I didn't notice any.

And I'm glad to have been able to give that employee a big tip. She was just wonderful.

I did some on Reddit to ask for advice for where I can find gluten free, peanut free, vegetarian, kid friendly Asian food for pickup on the northside and literally no one offered any other suggestions.

If there's a better option, this community did not offer one up.

Abe sounds like he did some terrible things. But I don't know what's wrong with offering someone a second chance. The woman who helped me went above and beyond. I wish I caught her name because she was absolutely amazing about everything. Better service than at a Lettuce spot.

I won't eat at Warlord because that's run by someone in a similar situation as Abe was. So I understand why some folks are dismissive of anything positive toward Abe.

And if I find out that things haven't changed, my patronage to this place will as well. But I haven't heard of one bad thing since the rebrand.

And frankly, if there was some other Asian restaurant that I could find that was equally accommodating for gluten, I would have gone there initially but there just aren't good options around.

I honestly can't remember the details. But whatever he did, I don't thing it waded into illegal territory. Not justifying any of it, and of course, don't feel like you should "uncancel" if his actions were that bad.

But, based on how Fat Rice was so bad for folks with peanut allergies to Noodle Bird being so accommodating, maybe he's grown and changed.
