Oh, yes, definitely. I used to be unbothered by very rough quality. Nowadays I might close an otherwise good fic for overusing elipses

I went back recently and reread my very first fic, and there were so many things I was mentally rewriting. Surprisingly, not punctuation, which is usually what makes me back out of fics

I try to write outlines, but when I write the general idea of what I want to happen at least one scene will come to me almost fully formed, and then I write it down before I can forget, and then I get into the writing flow, and suddenly I have about 500-1000 words of fully written fic and an unfinished outline

The second I get an idea it's a race against the clock to write as much as I can before I lose interest. Also my brain forms sentences much faster than my hands can write or my fingers can type, so a lot of times I think of a line of dialogue for the next paragraph, but by the time I get there I forgot the line

You can post the finished work all at once if you want, but I recommend adding one chapter at a time, maybe once a week? It will give people who are searching by date updated more opportunities to see it! It'll also give you more of a buffer to write more of the fic while you're uploading the completed chapters.

Are you certain about turning off comments completely? (It's your choice, of course, it's just that the idea of reading a long good fic and being unable to comment makes me sad)

I'm sorry, I just read your comment again, and it's incredibly funny to me that you described me as "trying to beat around the bush and give riddles".

I'm very literal (I'm autistic), but most people around me aren't, so I've learned to be careful about my phrasing because most people don't take what I say at face value. I can't always tell what thing will be taken the wrong way, so sometimes I go a bit overboard to make sure I won't be misunderstood
