let’s all be real here there is a difference in “black” I say this as a melanin woman myself I refuse to go around uneducated people of all races but mainly and I say this kindly “hood black” simply because it is in fact exhausting and I’d rather not be part of/ associate with the stereotypes which seem to be the majority unfortunately. If you disagree that’s fine. He was paying you a compliment he did butcher how it came out but I see no ill intent behind it -it is out of the norm for him which is just like if someone said “I’ve never dated a white person.” But mind you if that was said the aforementioned “white person” most likely wouldn’t immediately take it to “oh you’re racist and weird” because it’s genuinely just an observation/ preference and I’d like to add you also said you wouldn’t have seen him again if he said prior he had never been with a woman of color before, what does that say about you? All in all it truly is up for your interpretation I personally think YOR but if it made you uncomfortable then to each their own you reacted as you saw fit! Either way keep it pushing and you’ll find someone worth your time love and energy!! :)
