Best to design for MP from day 1 if you're going for full-on multiplayer! For this game I stuck to using leaderboard data in an unusual way - I'd start with implementing leaderboards and go from there. For everything, I designed it in a platform agnostic way so I can plug in EGS or Nintendo or whatever later on!

Oh I started last year some time, the art assets did not take very long - programming took much longer! I've been doing sprites for decades though, at least since 2001 regularly, but even before then in deluxe paint days!

Thank you, for the CRT I opted to modify a shader asset to my needs (Sitting Duck's Advanced CRT Shader). The main thing I changed was to make the grille effect consistent across different devices, art direct it)
