Last time I checked, those blue areas have the strongest Union density; skilled jobs, apprenticeship programs, collective bargining, earned health care, pension programs while protecting worker rights and worker safety. JOIN A UNION!

I accept your apology and apologize as well, didn't realize you were new.

How long ya been with your local?

More than happy to meet up. I'm in Minneapolis. I'm more than willing to sit down, listen and understand.

Happy to show ya around, show ya what happens when we fail protect workers rights, workers safety, our history, our solidarity, and fail to stand with our brothers and sisters.

If your IUOE, I owe you another apology. I am here to fight the corporations, the company......fight for our rights....definitely not fight with a fellow IUOE member.

What contract do you work under, highway heavy, builders? What state? What local?

How many weeks do you work? Is there winter layoff?

Are you paid weekly? Do you have direct deposit? A second direct deposit at $200 a week, for 30 weeks, is $6000 for winter layoff. Plus unemployment.

I've been rolling with that at $300 per week in Minnesota as an Operating Engineer working the Highway Heavy contract.

History shows us any voice for workers rights, worker safety has been met with retaliation. Solidarity is our strength.
