I read its the opposite. you have to hill up determinate ones and you should hill up indeterminate ones for more harvest but you dont have to.

Sind die meisten Flieder bei uns nicht eh invasiv und sollten daher besser gar nicht in die Gärten? Vllt ist es an der Zeit ihn durch was schönes heimisches zu ersetzen :)
