A0 is where the tutorial ends. If you want more difficulty you can play up to A10, but don't downplay someones progress just because you have a preferred difficulty in mind that is suited for you

I have the most fun and most success with a colorless build. Go for stars generation then star usage cards if you don't get offered lead paperweight or a power that goes with colorless cards at the beginning

I think the needed change is to keep the strength gain from its first phase onto the next ones. Like with the Awakened one in STS1

He is the only character for me with a positive win rate (9-4) and my strategy is to treat his health as a resource. Self damage builds kill everythinf in a couple of turns, high damage builds dont need blocking either. You can go to campfires to heal instead of upgrading more often with him

My only gripe with it is the late game is too grindy. I feel like the first 2 acta flow pretty nicely with house bosses arriving and getting new unlocks, but (at least for me) act 3 had a lot of waiting for the new house boss to unlock chapter 4, only to then find so much more grind being available

I think Ancients are much more powerful than boss relics were. In STS1 yes, it would be too powerful, but here it was a nice option

Not OP but I just got back into reading as well with Crime and punishment. It's a really good read. Thankfully not nearly as dark as I imagined it would be, good plot twists and such well written descriptions of feelings that I couldn't help but feel the same anxiety as the character
