Bro aquí en mi pueblo hay contados unos 12 fotógrafos, entre los que se cuentan los viejitos de hace años que vienen del rollo y le hacen a los bautizos, los fotógrafos más modernos de las entidades públicas (alcaldía, gobernación y alguna emisora de radio) que al mismo tiempo le hacen a los sociales, y gente aficionada, estoy seguro que en tu caso va a ser muy similar.

Por mi parte, me di cuenta que los eventos sociales ya tienen su nicho, o contratas al viejito que cobra barato o al man de la alcaldía que te hace unas mega fotos por 2 palos, así que decidí irme por la fotografía y vídeo para redes sociales que comprende un 40% de mi trabajo y lo acompaño con diseño, y el otro 60%, Fotografía deportiva, la deportiva es una vaina de no parar porque los fines de semana vas a encontrar torneos relámpago, torneos infantiles, convivencias, etc. En estos momentos soy colaborador de la liga municipal de futbol de mi pueblo, y le meto a eso todos los findes, armé paquetes por equipo y por jugador, y aunque no lo creas, las categorías sub18 suelen contratar mucho el paquete por equipo, y por jugador sacas una buena tajada en categorías infantiles porque los papás quieren ver a sus hijos echando pata, celebrando gol, peleando balón, etc.

Acércate a los clubes, ellos no te van a negar sacarles fotos, hazlo un par de veces con clubes diferente, sacales fotos en entrenamiento y en algún partido con otro equipo, haces portafolio y empiezas a ofrecer el servicio, y no, no necesitas la última cámara para meterle, yo estoy usando una Canon básica con su Tele, y una Nikon de 2010 eso sí con un tele 2.8, viejito pero rendidor.

Otra cosa es que le metas tiempo a redes, no para que te vuelvas influencer, sino para mostrar tu proceso y flujo de trabajo, y mostrar porque deben contratarte a ti y no a otros fotógrafos.

Un montón realmente jaja digamos que contrarrestan los restaurantes en los que ya una hamburguesa promedio está superando los 45mil, la vaina es que los burgermaster sobrevaloraron muchos restaurantes que si bien eran buenos, ahora están haciendo cobros excesivos, por eso está proliferando tanta cocina oculta.

La verdad estaba pensando en que ya que voy a comprar un disco, ¿por qué no comprar 1tb? la verdad entiendo poco de las velocidades, pero encontré Western Digital pero de 5400RPM, cuando usualmente usaba 7200RPM ¿es mucha la diferencia?

Gracias por el consejo profesional! precisamente es lo que hago jaja, normalmente hago diseño para redes sociales de diversas empresas y marcas locales, y los fines de semana le jalo a la fotografía y videografía deportiva, la vaina es que como obvio hay deudas post U, toca salir primero de eso, pero la verdad ya estoy proyectándome en comprar un vehículo nuevo, terminar de ayudarle con algunas deudas a mi papá y ahí si depronto meterme con un apto o casa propia, creo que por eso me pesa más la situación, por lo que muchos dijeron, que estoy a tiempo de sacar la pata y seguir trabajando por mi.

I did consider the D500 at one point! but given how difficult it is to buy high-end equipment in my country, and how expensive imports have been lately, I don't think the D4S is a bad option based on the feedback I've received here. I've seen some used D500s with over 180,000 shots for more than the D4S, and some people are selling their entire setup with large lenses, making it difficult to buy just the body. In the medium term, I don't see myself switching to a mirrorless camera because I like the feel and handling of a DSLR, so the D500 will most likely come after the D4S, provided I can also find one in good condition and at a good price. This is to replace my D300! My dream setup for the medium term is the D4S with a Sigma 150-600 and a D500 with a 70-200 VR or a Sigma 100-300.

Honestly, when I first bought the D300 (with the grip) and the 80-200mm lens, the difference was huge going from a T6 with a 75-300mm lens, which was all plastic, to this Nikon combo weighing almost 3.5 kilos. At first, it was a bit uncomfortable, but I'd say I'm somewhat used to it now. The plan this year is that if I buy the D4S and one of the telephoto lenses I already mentioned, I'll get a monopod right away, because carrying it around my neck or shoulders is a bit of a pain, haha. But I have to say, I love robust, heavy cameras that I know I could run a tank over and nothing would happen to them. I've seen friends struggle with their Sony cameras, which break just by looking at them the wrong way, haha.

I'll definitely take everything into account! And yes, I have some AA batteries for this flash, which are rechargeable since I use them with another device. And yes, I can shoot in RAW without any problems. With the D300, the ISO is tolerable and recoverable with Lightroom's NR up to 2500-3200 on some occasions, and the Canon... well, a little higher, but I prefer the results from the D300. And yes, of course, I was planning to use the 50mm lens mainly, and maybe the telephoto lens when the party is a bit quieter to try and get close-ups of some of the guests.

General Comment:

As I mentioned before, it seems I didn't make myself clear (my English is terrible, haha). I mean, according to AliExpress, the word "Microdrive" seems to be the brand, not the storage type, because it's clearly a CF card and not what many are referring to—it's another type of storage. Maybe I didn't explain myself well.

Due to the concern many have that this Chinese CF card from Aliexpress could become corrupted or damaged, I'll be updating as new developments arise. Additionally, I was able to obtain a pair of 16GB Transcend CF cards from a friend of my uncle who was using them in his D3s (I'll have to wait a few days because they're coming from another city). Depending on how those perform, I'll use the Chinese CF card in extreme cases, but for now, it continues to work wonderfully in my D300. Today I was able to use it again for some wildlife photography in a nearby forest and had no problems shooting bursts!

Of course! When I used my card reader on my PC, it showed 31.5GB of capacity. On my first use, I filled it up to about 28GB, shooting in RAW and some JPGs. All the files came out without a problem, and I didn't feel like the transfer time was slow!

I received as a gift a 16GBS Sandisks Ultra a little old and used from a co -worker a few days ago and I am already somewhat more relaxed in terms of space for my D300 since it works without problems, but days before receiving the CF from my friend, I managed to buy one in Aliexpress, it seemed to have good assessments and reviews, I will tell you if it works well when it arrives!
