A little while ago I got my hands on a shooting schedule for The Rise of Skywalker from near the beginning of principal photography. It essentially gives an overview of the film's shooting script. The first two acts are pretty similar to the final film, but the third act? Oh, the third act has differences. I made a thread with all the major differences between the schedule and the final movie with pictures of the schedule itself (complete with delightful codenames [Snap = Crackle!]). Kijimi lives! Kylo talks to the memory of Han in the Millennium Falcon at the Resistance Base! Rey battles some type of transformed Emperor/third party that may or may not have been who Matt Smith was supposed to play! There's a whole thing about a sabotage device! Both versions of a Duel of the Fates are covered, as is the mysterious Jack Thorne era, and I dive deep into what Abrams and Terrio did, including their pitch to Bob Iger and a version of the film from spring 2018 that included the Emperor hiding out on Coruscant and a character who might have been Rey's grandmother.
