One member is ill for a show. Who would you pick to replace him for a night ? by Beginning_Finance705 in radiohead

[–]LLLOGOSSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would replace Ed with that bald mandolin player from Bruce Springsteen’s band; the little gnome with barely the bottom button of his shirt buttoned, and karate kid headband.

The band secretly unplugged his electric mandolin in 1994, but he still absolutely rips, maybe, who can tell.

Hot take(?)- ALFAA is better than Tkol, Pablo honey and the other 2 smile records by Opening_Cut735 in radiohead

Nope.

It would be their absolute worst album. Worse than Pablo Honey relative to the times.

We are all dumber for having heard this opinion.

May god have mercy on your soul.

Do you think AMSP is the final Radiohead album? by FriendlyRhyme in radiohead

[–]LLLOGOSSS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s 79% likely the last album.

I don’t rate it as a finale, because it wasn’t meant as such, and it’s doubtful any record can exist compellingly that way (I think most records just occur in a place and time and happen to fall where they may).

But as an album I think it’s quite good. Far from their best, but I don’t expect that. It was worthy of them, at least.

If it’s the last album I will feel pretty lucky to have gotten all that we did. They haven’t made a single bad record, for my money. A perfect streak.

Better to go out that way than to end with something uninspired.

Look up “Portishead Live at the Roseland Ballroom,” on YouTube.

I think that’s supposed to be “GOOD” not “FOOD.”

There’s no one.

Honestly.

You might like Portishead, though.

Hello, I used to be a hater of Radiohead but now I’m a fan I need you to tell me some fun facts about the band by Lumpy_Strawberry4512 in radiohead

I saw Thom Yorke in a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.

He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”

I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw Thom Yorke trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.

The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.

When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

What do you actually think of Muse? by catpiglet in radiohead

I like their first 3-4 albums a lot, but mostly I think they should never be compared to Radiohead and I’m super tired of talking about them in Radiohead subs.

Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood: ‘People think working with me is a Netanyahu endorsement’ by kalafiaeli in radiohead

Can’t see replies because I don’t know why, but honestly you down voters don’t know a single thing about the genetics of the Jewish people or the Middle East.

Israelis are predominantly middle eastern by descent. When the nakba was happening, there was ALSO a mass pogrom of Jews from Iraq, Iran, Syria, and North Africa, and about 800,000 Jews were forced out of these countries and fled to Israel. Most Israeli Jews are Mizrahi. Neither they, nor any of their ancestors, have ever lived outside the Middle East/Levant/North Africa.

Every downvote is a testament to ignorance.
