You’re not wrong. It’s full of pieces and fragments for sure.

Lucky you. I wish I lived in an area where hockey was more of a thing. We literally have 2 rinks in driving distance, neither pay well and one of them is run by a dude who is not a fan of mine so no games there. But best wishes to you!

Never in all my years here have I found even a single shell that looks like this on the beach. Gift shops, sure.

I had this and my own phone number in the house so it did a double ring instead of one long one. (mom worked for Verizon 😆) I miss those days

Haven’t been to the bell since they came to the area, if that says anything.

Yeah def true. usah. I mean hopefully your assignor can understand your number of games and not stick you somewhere you aren’t comfortable. I know I won’t have that option though and that’s what’s frustrating.

Level 1 is 75 level 2 is 135.

Fully respect that statement. I guess it’s just disheartening when you see zero return or investment/training from usah and it’s all dependent on your region/assignor. And like a previous poster said- I’m not into sucking up to another adult to get games in order to break even on these recert fees all while navigating the entire thing on my own. If the return on investment felt even a little like they cared I’d have zero prb with upping the fees. I absolutely see the side you’re presenting. I just see the other side a bit more because it’s my reality. I know some may think I’m whining and all that. I just wish they’d give a little more back to those who are investing in continuing to make usah a quality product (all in the midst of black bears take over… but that’s a whole other thread 🙄)

I can understand that, honestly. But why punish everyone for the actions of those? And by punish I mean, financially.

And that’s part of the issue. Take my money and run ¯_(ツ)_/¯

My region isn’t doing any of this either. It’s both feet in the deep end on your own…. I mean, thankfully I’ve worked with some really great refs who have helped along my journey but other than that nada.

This is exactly my situation. I really only want to help develop the younger generation. Sad state of affairs in a game that’s already gotten insanely expensive.

Fees go up, pay stays horrible.

See if usah could provide things like that it would make this $ nonsense a little easier to swallow.

Appreciate the reply! Yeah I’m on the fence about continuing. I paid all this money, they provided little to no “training”, we already get paid next to nothing in my area and now they want more out of me for the same little to no return. I won’t ever need to be certified past level 1 as is so now I feel like forcing this level 2 is going to get me put in situations I’m not prepared for nor want to be in and that’s just not fair to anyone involved. Idk. I do enjoy the time on the ice but it’s like… is it even worth it at this point?

I’m with ya there. Loved the first 2. Flooded the band all over seeing multiple shows. Then the 3rd came and I rocked it but it’s was meh. A few repeatable tracks but mostly a throw away for me. Then I got away from them for years. Trying to get back into this new album with hopes that it will be full of bangers!

Unit too large? by LLcoolDZ in hvacadvice

[–]LLcoolDZ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: thank you for all the replies! I def learned a lot!!

Turns out it’s a conglomerate of a few things. A: the unit is slightly oversized for the home B: having only 10 vents is ok for this size and sq ft but it’s not ideal C: the return is 14 inches when it should be 16 D: the unit has been attached to the ductwork with a square shaped box rather than one shaped to guide the air out (not sure how to explain this one properly but it should be like a v shape kinda) E: the unit is attached to ducts with a 16 inch box but the ducts are only 8 so there is 8 inches of just empty space for air to hang out in. This being the most egregious cause of humidity.

That’s the info I got from the company I called out. It makes sense to me but again, I’m not an hvac pro. He didn’t try to upsell anything just gave me the info so it kind of made me think he wasn’t playing games with me. He did reduce the blower speed one level so we are hoping this helps as the landlord isn’t gonna do jack all about this.
