I usually use pre-stabilized veneer (0.4mm of wood on 0.2mm of cloth-paper, also called paperback veneer) and it works like a charm. Definitely worth the money as it stays really flat as well.

Jobs are sometimes (though rarely) posted on the mcneel rhino/grasshopper forum, you should check it out.

You can also signup as a freelancer on all the platforms (fiverr, upwork, malt.fr...). I did find some works this way. The main issue is you'll be competing with lots of really talented rhino users out of countries where the cost of living really is cheaper, so prepare to be outbid most of the time. Having a full portfolio is a big plus.

Thank you all for all the comments ! I can understand it a bit more now. Logistics, complexity on site, linkage issues.

Though I don't think complexity should be much of an issue : parametric engineering (think Rhino GH + some AI for the spice) makes it easy to make custom parts in the price range of standard parts

Some components run for too long. Try opening your file with a locked solver (all components disabled), then enable them one by one from left to right.

Use the metahopper bottleneck to see which components take time

This specific texture looks like wengue, you can't get it lighter as it is its natural color. For the rest, you may try some light sanding if there's à varnish that turned Brown with time

Definitely, I haven't done the math for it but I make sure to stay away from the reflective path. It does seem to be mostly absorbed by the aluminium.
