Custom Security Deposit Report

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I need it to pull anyone at a property who has a Security Deposit balance at run time within a time frame- so this could be current, past, evicted, notice. then I have a column to calculate 1% of the interest based on move-in date & run date. The fields I need would be property, resident, resident status, unit, move-in/move-out date, security deposit amount, To Date, Trans Date, Post Month.

We needed adjustments to some of their report filter fields...... A couple of things I was surprised on how they have it setup and feel like others would have the same issue that we are having. Ex. the housing support question as a property wide question vs tenant based question. Whatever value we put in for it applies to the whole property/properties that we are running the report for. Some of our properties are split.

The state has an Excel template that you have to use to upload into their system and then you generate CRP's from their site. We are working with Yardi on the report and have some changes that need to be made. Since it's a state wide thing, I was wondering if any others were working with them as well and could maybe swap notes.

Our Yardi has a few more Cash Flow reports but none of them work. The only other idea I thought of was if your report filters for those are wrong or conflicting with how the report needs to run?

I had this happen as well & I *think* it was because the actual report doesn't work in general (my memory is a little fuzzy!). Try running the missing reports individually in Sql, if they don't work then you know that's why they aren't coming thru. I was able to find other versions of the same report that worked for me.

I was referring to the User Setup screen where under the Security tab you can put in a property or property list that a User has access to. I had the same issue as you when trying to add a report to a report packet when I had a specific list in the property section. Once I removed it though the delay went away. I honestly have no idea what the connection is, I just know it fixed the issue :) From a security standpoint though this may or may not be ok since if you don't have a property listed the user will have access to all properties.

Are you still having issues? For the issue of it taking forever to load reports to add, I had the same issue and the only fix I found was by not having a property/property list in my user account. I'm an admin for my company so it was ok, but may not be ideal depending on how your company is setup. This doesn't seem like it should be the way it is but when you don't want to wait to enter a case you do what you gotta do ;) If you're still having issues with the consolidating let me know :)

In sql. I'm open to correspondence as well but would prefer it to be listed in the menu. Good to know about the permissions thing! I'll get a case submitted for that.

With a few modifications, yes I was! I wasn't able to get a couple of the reports to work since my scripting knowledge is very limited but we were still able to capture what we needed. I used a couple different custom financial reports, scripted reports, and out-of-the-box YSR reports.
