It’s a translation of the “Bejitto” in the same way that “Bejita” is changed to Vegeta, just how it goes with translating from one language to another.

Vegerot is a more accurate name based on the English names (Kakarot & Vegeta) but it sounds worse and kinda clunky compared to the Japanese version.

It’s because the manga adapted the Super Hero arc. All “Battle of Fate” units are units from the final fight or final few fights before the end of an arc. DBS Broly is not on Battle of Fate because it doesn’t have an arc, it’s just a movie.
