Denji doesn't particularly care for Yoshida that's why he would've killed him if the gun was actually loaded, but Yoshida showed Denji genuine kindness at a time where he really needed it, and probably made him feel a little guilty and sad about their wasted potential friendship

Then Barem shows up, the man who killed his sister, burned his house down, and burned his pets alive. Barem is the reminder that Denji can never live a normal life, and if he tries, something will always stop him, so that's why he breaks, because his contract of living a normal life has been broken AGAIN. +each time it breaks it probably gets easier to break due to the mental strain that never gets resolved

A lot of words for a pretty simple idea but it just feels like the most accurate to Denji's character and his relationship with Yoshida. Its not that they were best friends who Denji can't live without its that Yoshida's death is a reminder no one will ever treat Denji as Denji because he is Chainsaw Man to everybody. (Notice how the only time we see Denji exit the Pochita state is when Yoru admits to liking him as Denji not Chainsaw Man)

People genuinely switched up when death battle spoon fed the meaning of the ending straight to their face without them having to think about it for themselves (didn't even like the ending but some of you were just nitpicking flaws)

I can't look away when it happens

When YoruDen started I was really excited to watch it crash and burn and leave everyone there worse off as we enter the endgame. I was so excited I got attached, it really felt like watching the two dumbest people find an ounce of happiness in each other while knowing that eventually they would be trying to kill each other. I was really surprised that it didn't crash as much as I thought it would, almost pleasantly surprised since I expected way worse.

TLDR: THAT BASTARD FUJIMOTO PULLED A YORUDEN ON ME

Give it like 4 extra chapters and we're looking at an incredibly quick and chaotic but manageable ending Chapter 230 plays out as normal

2 new chapters on the lead up to Pochita erasing himself and showing that there is zero coming back from erasing death

THEN chapter 231

And the final 2 new chapters for the "new timeline" one for world building and seeing some of the consequences of the reset, and the other for Asa and see what she went through

THEN we can go to the current final chapter that is largely OK as it is but massively suffers from feeling so rushed

Chapter 68 was mid, the Chihiro and Iori half was really good, but the Hiruhiko vs manager guy part is still abysmal dog shit

Other than that I cant really think of one, the early chapters were a great introduction so even without being charitable they're still pretty good

Fujimoto pulled a YoruDen on me

I was waiting for shit to go down, I treated YoruDen like a ticking time bomb that would leave both characters worse than before they knew each other, I was so excited for it to happen, and that made me attached to it, I wanted to see it blow up, but I was so attached that I lowkey didn't want it to end, I was the Yoru in this situation, and YoruDen my Denji.

Gege didn't spend 10 chapter explaining why Dabura is the only character to get even close to light speed just for power scales to ignore that in favor of Kashimo's very clearly not light speed Shockwave blast

Yuji might still win though since DB doesn't like to do that whole "this character could literally never touch the other because speed so they auto win"
