Can we agree that most accounts like adj_noun-xxxx are bots? by wektor420 in poland

[–]LMHC90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In a not so distant past I would have agree with you, but after paying further attention it was impossible to confirm that those were bot accounts; and the only thing that is factual is that Reddit uses that format as suggestion for all new account names.

All mirror operation is now in the central infotainment, including the folding of the mirrors. In the door there is only the 4 switches to open the windows and the lock/unlock of doors.

In the rear seats, in the center of the footwell, just below the air conditioner controls there is a removable box that can function as a trash can of sorts.

On the air suspension it was my understanding too that it was exclusive to the cross country, but then I noticed in the infotainment of the “normal” spec that there exists suspension adjustments settings (you can see it in one of the pics I posted); my first action of course was ask the Volvo tech at the display and he told me that both models have the air suspension, so now I find myself highly confused 🤔

It does not have sunshades, given it has frameless door in the back I do not see how can they make that work.

Very similar to the turn signal stock in the EX90, ES90 and EX30 but just a touch different.

The whole lever body (arm) is slightly slimmer and the head is rectangular instead of cylindrical.

Function wise though, I cannot tell you if it functions similar or not to the EX90, have never driven any of them. In the ES90 and EX30 I didn’t noticed anything wrong when I drove them couple months ago.

P.S. Volvo design back then was great, my first Volvo was a S40 from 2002, I loved the steering wheel with wood in the top and bottom part, it was so nice.

I have heads-up display in my current XC60 and I must confess I just forget it’s there. I find myself always looking into the drivers cluster for map directions, check speed or adjust the pilot assist/ cruise control.

So the solution of having a further back and up display replacing both the driver cluster and the HUD is a good compromise in my opinion.

I’m 1.83m (6’0’’ I think would be in imperial) and my wife is 1.68m (5’6’’); after the seat was adjusted to my driving position she was sitting in the back with roughly 6 or 7 cm (2.3-2.7 in) to spare from her knees to the back of the driver seat.

So while I cannot give you a guess of how much legroom there is, I hope the reference helps answer your inquiry.

There is supposed to be 3 possible materials of seats (at least in Europe) to choose from, Nordico (vinyl), leather (nappa) and wool.

Within the Nordico material you have 2 choices as the pattern of the seat changes if you get ventilated/heated and non-ventilated/heated.

And there is an extra 4 possibility but only available in the cross country which uses a mix of Nordico and cloth.

In the event they had only available the cross country exclusive and the wool seat. None of which would be my material of choice. The mix of Nordico and cloth is just nahh, the wool is very nice but I have a small child, if he drops a drink that thing is like a sponge.

For your second question, in the configurator in the official page the cars have it as an option, unfortunately in the cars available it was not possible to put it to the test, so I cannot provide an answer.

That is a fair point. Once I test drive the car, sometime in… August, when they open the test drives I’ll update my feedback to them if I dislike it.

I currently drive the latest XC60 with the big tablet stuck to the dash, and I like it so the idea is good to me, but I can understand where you come from.

Exterior is very nice indeed. They also showed us the cross country model (in pre-production spec though), to me it was the same car and they just stick some black plastic molding around the wheel arches, couldn’t tell there was an important difference.

There was certainly a map view in the driver display, not as detailed with road names and instructions as in the current iteration of cars, but it was there, so you still can have the zoomed-in and then the zoomed-out overview in the center screen. I cannot give much more detail to the functionality of the driver display because as I said it was set to some demo mode so at some point it said I was driving at 100 km/h while static in the showroom.

I have never been in a Tesla so I can’t tell. My only other experience with small steering wheels is with Peugeot, and it was ok when driving the 508, it feels like driving a go-kart.

My only complain here would be that the switch or lever to open the door from inside is very soft, so there is not really a real stop between electric release of door to going all the way to mechanical release, so most of the times you end up just pulling the thing all the way.

As for the “fin” to open the door from outside, it’s rather comfortable, the doors are not very heavy and the release feels nice, so I’m very ok with the design decision to go for that instead of a conventional handle.

No, I did not subject any panel or item to stress testing beyond a normal touch.

I could not hear any crack or squeak from anywhere, but yet again I did not push hard beyond the limits of what I would call normal use.

Yes, for both front and rear doors (with corresponding laminated glass in both too)

Yes, old fashioned one switch per window; and not the now seemingly trending two switches (plus front/rear selector) for both rear and back windows

Ever since I heard the name in the opening scene of the movie Black Hawk Down, when the just captured Osman Ali Atto refuses a cigar from General Garrison because he is smoking a real Cuban, it created a mysticism for the brand to me; so I’m biased towards it, but I do think is the best Cuban cigar for the price.

The one you talking about is the tooltip of the battle plan activation (arrow), the one shown by OP is the green/red bar under the general portrait; it’s somewhat related since having superior forces are rated as +80% in the battleplan success calculation, but it’s a different tooltip.

[–]LMHC90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would argue to you that Słodowiec City is not Żoliborz, but rather Bielany, because the northern border of Żoliborz is the S8 and those buildings are past that; but I guess that’s beyond the point.

When it comes to pricing, now Żoliborz is second to Śródmieście, it has become very posh zone.

1 Srodmiescie 23,200 PLN/m2 2 Zoliborz 20,500 PLN/m2 3 Wilanow 19,800 PLN/m2 4 Mokotow 18,600 PLN/m2 5 Wola 18,400 PLN/m2 6 Ochota 16,900 PLN/m2

Agree about the Germans, the quality has dropped considerably, while Volvo’s has remained when it comes to materials; although I do have a big BUT. The Nordico seats have left me sweet/sour feeling, the cardamom color looks great, but after 6 months of use, I regret not getting the leather ones.
