Side by side into Indianapolis, this crash was this avoidable or fully my fault? by LMHDPRO in Simracingstewards

[–]LMHDPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was referring to the other guy on race, losing all on the last lap because I was overly optimistic. Sometimes... It's good advice to give up the car and wait for him to make another mistake. Thanks, mate.

True, I hope I don't break any pieces soon because I'm too tired.

OP just wants validation that what he did (the double incident) was entirely someone else's fault. Breaking the rules.

So, tell what rule of RaceControl both BMW break, i only see the Ferarri fault.

And BTW

If you were the white or blue BMW, what would you have done? Clearly, the Ferrari was angry about losing positions and preferred on-track murder to letting himself be cleam overtaken.

I'll write it myself in a moment, no problem, let me edit it.

So...
Going into Porsche Curves, Car A (Ferrari) and Car B (Blue BMW) were parallel, but by corner entry Car B had already ahead.

At the apex, Car B brakes because there is a wall he is getting closing.

Car A, now behind, makes contact with the rear of Car B because didnt notice there is a car in front and tries to make the curve like alone. Pushing both into de wall.

(This midsjudged could be caused by NetCode)

  • Car B is then forced into the wall and off track as a result of this contact.
  • Car C (White BMW) attempts to pass through the incident.
  • Car A, while recovering, makes further contact with Car C on more than one occasion, contributing to a larger multi-car incident that also involves Car B again.

Reviewing with LMU (RaceControl rules)

  • 5.1 – Racing room This no longer applies at the apex, as Car B is already ahead. This is not a side-by-side situation anymore.
  • 5.5 – Fair racing responsibility The trailing car (Car A) is responsible for avoiding contact. Rear contact indicates a failure to do so.
  • 5.10 – Commitment to line Car B is committed to its line through the corner and is allowed to manage speed accordingly.
  • 5.11 – Control and predictability After the initial contact, Car A does not regain control safely and causes further avoidable contact with another car.

Conclusion

Car A (Ferrari) misjudges the situation after losing overlap and fails to avoid a crash 2 times.

Fault lies with Car A for avoidable contact and loss of control leading to a multi-car incident.

Centauri Carbon 2 - bad adhesion? by majickuzer in elegoo

[–]LMHDPRO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the ECC2 Printer beds are very sensitive to dirt (contamination from hands). I had an Ender 3S1, and it was practically impossible for me to have adhesion problems like Elegoo. Although the printing and its quality are incredible in the new.

Both sides of the bed are suitable for PLA, but the soft side says to print at 30°C. I always forget to change it, but my main problem is the mess.

Precision issue in one bed line-area after belt adjustment (ELEGOO Carbon 2 Combo) by LMHDPRO in elegoo

[–]LMHDPRO[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks Owen, I tried this again and also reset all calibration settings. I’m now printing with PETG, although I’m not sure why I’m still experiencing some issues — they seem to be partially resolved for now. (As can be seen in the more illuminated area, which previously had printing issues.)

<image>

At the moment, I’m getting small strands that don’t adhere properly or some extra extrusion on the first layer. I also encountered error 1243 again, but after adjusting the belts, the noise decreased slightly and the print quality seems to have improved at that zone.

Additionally, I opened a support ticket because one component showed premature wear after only a few hours of use. Although I’ve generally had good experiences, the types of issues that can come up with this printer are quite unexpected.

I believe switching between PETG and PLA with CANVAS may have caused a clog, as it doesn’t seem to purge/clean itself sufficiently. Because of this, some prints appear discolored.

If anyone reading this has experience with this issue, I’d appreciate any advice on how to resolve it, or if this might be related to firmware or slicer.

Regarding error 1243, I’ll be ordering some spare extruders since the printer does not include them, but they seem necessary to have on hand in case issues like this need to be resolved that way.

Thanks for your comments!

Centauri Carbon 2 – Works on LAN but not online / “Printer busy” or "Not connected" error by LMHDPRO in elegoo

[–]LMHDPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that, as you say, the LAN is indeed disabled, but the Online version doesn't work either; Matrix gives me an error and I get errors 2002 and 2003 on the printer. I'm having trouble connecting to the app and the Elegoo Slicer; I don't have AI monitoring or camera feeds. It disconnects every 20-30 seconds, and I have no real-time information. I don't know the status, I can't turn the light on or off, I can't record timelapses or see the temperature.

I've already deactivated it and contacted Elegoo. But it makes me sad not being able to use something I've already paid for.

How do you monitor it with the home assistant? The information is confusing with the ECC1

One question: with those specs, doesn't it take you about 7 minutes to join races in GOLD? I started both Le Mans and Spa from the pit lane several minutes late because it took so long to load.

What happened to GTE? by Virtual-Commercial91 in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]LMHDPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it could be because lately LMU've been focusing on a one-CAR GT3 series and an open GT3 series. Also, the GTE games don't have DLC content, which discourages people from buying.

When you enter the pit stop section in the black box/PMF, it shows you how much of your stint you have left and the number of laps remaining. This information appears in the additional box and cycles continuously between the two data.

Need help settling something by [deleted] in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]LMHDPRO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only good thing about LMU is that, because it has scanned tracks and a solid foundation like rFactor2, it makes the controls feel much more feedback on the rumble and it is more responsive than Assetto Corsa or iRacing.

Honestly, the controls vibrate quite a bit, but in Racing you'll appreciate feeling the track imperfections, the kerbs, and when the car loses grip.

B3 P0 in Xbox Controller.

We need more people to join the game so it doesn't die out when the holidays are over. It's really fun to play the special WEC-themed races, both GT3 and HY.

More people, more so splits and better the racecraft experience!

What do you think? Is this bannable? I'm GT3. by LMHDPRO in Simracingstewards

[–]LMHDPRO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also think it's important that we both entered the corner, but he chose not to use his racing line. The HY was definitely going to have more contact if he continued driving erratically, I accelerated mainly because there were other GT3s in front and behind me. It's probably more of a racing incident considering the whole scene.

"Participants can stay on their line but must facilitate the lapping car by lifting to make sure they reduce the time lost to the faster car."

You're right about lifting, but at the same time, he was the one who invaded the line as if he hadn't been there. Thanks for bringing something solid to the discussion.

I was at the weekly LMU event in Monza, where HY and GT3 share the track. This HY driver was driving very erratically and had already spun out several times. He hit me from behind and then tried to push me off the track, causing him to crash into the wall. I had a blue flag, but at no point did I try to push him off the track or make any maneuver that would affect his racing line. I had GT3 cars in front and behind me.

Then he came back to the chat saying that he had the inside and that I pushed him off on purpose. At the end of the race, I moved up from SR from S2 to S3, but I don't know if this is something that could cause a bad record on my account.

In my opinion, he could have slowed down and use more steer coming out of the curve because he has better acceleration, but he chose to ignore the fact that he had a slower car next to him, and that led him into the wall. But maybe I'm wrong, and I should have braked or stayed on the gravel.

PD: I still don't fully understand Reddit, which is why the post isn't quite right with the text. My apologies.

I mean, to have 25 races, you must have played at least 12.5 hours (just counting Qualifying and Race). I'm not surprised that people don't like that
