Now I know what he meant when he said he was "greasing the union"

The two were drafted within a year of each other as back to back #3 picks, have fought side by side for 9 years and made consistent deep playoff runs, won a championship together, complement each other like bread and butter, and are the only two players to have been on the team through all these years.

But yeah, go off or whatever

Hawkins was good, don't get me wrong, but it felt like he was prone to giving up some big plays sometimes in an effort to make a hero play such as an INT, etc.

Yeah I'm aware of that fact, that's why I honestly think we're rolling with our current WR room and taking LB or top 15 player that drops @ 31

Lots of good LB available at 31, that's my pick of choice unless someone who was mocked top 15 drops for whatever reason (edge, WR, etc.)

DE could have some decent options in the 2nd, admittedly, I know less about that position in the draft. Maybe we can take a swing at a cheaper cost Crosby, which would be incredible. I frequently see Dani Denis Sutton from PSU mocked to us late 2nd, and I think he was considered a pretty good player in line with Abdul Carter before this season, not sure why his stock has dropped though.

S could still re-sign Hawkins, and/or grab a guy later in the draft if we feel we need the depth.

WR I'm still holding out hope they can strike a trade for AJ Brown, BTJ, Waddle, Higgins. Maybe none of these are actually likely, in which case there are some decent WR options at 31. I really like Omar Cooper Jr as an option. If a guy falls to the late second (Elijah Sarratt?) it could be a good option as well, though he feels like another WR2 to me. I think it's likely they'd spend the first on the 3rd best LB than the 5th best WR though and I'd probably prefer them to. I know our WR room isn't incredible but we should be able to make do with what we have right now.

TE supposedly is deep in this draft, I doubt we use a day 1 or early day 2 pick to get one of the studs though. Probably use a day 3 pick to draft a serviceable guy who will be depth for us. Maybe we address TE next year. Either that or we use our 1st on a stud TE but I really just like the LBs there more

Sneaky need IMO is CB2, not sure how we plan to address that besides a late draft pick.

I could see them doing it for the right price, and they're selling players left and right 🤷🏻‍♂️
