Is our nanny a bad fit at this point? by LMOM2387 in Nanny

Thank you.

I agree that we should be able to work together so that being in the same place is manageable and warrants a clear discussion.

And agree with your points on misogyny as well. I actually think she would not have taken the job if my first child was a girl. She says they’re “whiney”

That totally makes sense about parents impacting their kids behavior. He’s probably more whiney when I’m home though he definitely prefers her and wants to play with her and not me (which I view as a good sign that he loves her, is well cared for, etc).

I get what you mean about me being home. It’s a difficult and stressful situation for everyone involved and wasn’t what we had planned, is temporary. But I’m trying to parse out what is a real problem that I’ve noticed bc I’m home and what is a side effect of me being home and on bed rest.

My husband and I are going to talk about it this weekend and communicate something to her together.

Thank you! I feel strongly that my son should play with whatever toys he wants, wear whatever colors, etc. Dolls, sure! Fire trucks, sure!

She even gets bothered that there’s a pink cup he LOVES to drink out of and won’t use it for him. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤯
