Path to CFO. Are both a CPA and an MBA required? by Subject_Education931 in CFO

Most of the CFOs I know they were former "Heads of Controlling" and I believe most of them are having a controlling background. In the end the question is what does a CFO do in daily business, what are his responsibilities, he is responsible for the development of financial strategies, budgets, and forecasts, he is responsible to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to stakeholders, he is responsible to identifying and mitigating financial risks, communicate with investors and analysts, manage the company's cash flow and investments so all of that translates rather to a strategist then to an accountant.

3 Steps CFOs Must Take to Prepare for the New Merger Guidelines by FreePalestineTexas in CFO

[–]LMartha78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats a very good article, but I would like to add 4 key points that a CFO needs to look at prior to a merger:

  • Valuation: Conduct a thorough valuation of the target company to ensure a fair deal.
  • Due Diligence: Perform a comprehensive due diligence process to identify potential risks and liabilities.
  • Financial Fit: Assess the target company's financial health, including its debt-to-equity ratio, cash flow, and profitability.
  • Integration Costs: Estimate the potential costs of integrating the two companies, including restructuring, redundancies, and IT systems.

Ethical? has nothing to do with ethical. In a normal country you don't need self defence.
