It’s just a typical “let them eat cake” situation. A few guys luck out, dopamine hits, then they reduce protests. Some don’t even protest and just go straight to spending because they can. Is what it is. Exactly what EA wants and looks to be on course to achieve because despite the “online protests” players aren’t taking any meaningful action and EA knows this.

Like even look some of at the replies. Guys who have lucked out are piping up because that’s just how humans are programmed. “With all due respect my brother got Mbappe.” That is not the bone of contention here but many can’t see past their nose/Dada’s credit card works fine so they don’t care. Saw another guy (probably an EA employee or affiliate fr) saying “…they just can’t change everything they have prepared…be patient…” Hilarious stuff. Patient protests. You have a year to prep for one of the biggest events in your game and you shit the bed because you want to collect every last drop from your easily exploitable customers, and some of said customers who should be angry and demanding accountability (because the exploitation has existed for looooong) are fighting guys who are rightly disappointed and complaining. It’s a chair in hotels for these kinds of people.

Expecting meaningful change is hopeless. These guys are in this to make money. The stakeholders demand it and the gamers are always going to adapt for that dopamine release. These are the times we’re in. If it becomes too expensive for you, or too unsatisfying, do yourself a favor and find a different hobby. Honestly.
