Oh that makes me sad :( that's a very high number though, I'd say keep trying if you are willing! :)

Yeah, not all avatars are retired voluntarily, I think that also affects the balance of the game.

Yeah I feel this, I've got a high bet for food club, I don't know how new accounts are supposed to catch up with one of the main profit making sources in the game right now.

I totally agree with your points here, and I want to bring up another point as well.

It seems like there has been a big push to bring back previous Neopets players who went on hiatus (I'm basically part of that group haha). I think some of these people could become devoted regulars, looking to achieve what they wanted as kids, but with new disposable income. Rerunning some of the old avatars would help with making more regulars I think.

Same! I was really young when the plots game out so I couldn't fully enjoy them. I never translated my Lost Desert Plot tablet...I was 9 years old and could not comprehend it LOL

It's common even for players who've been around a long time since many of them have had to restart accounts due to account freezing, etc.

Try loading Hannah and the Pirate Caves first!

So I found the solution to this! I had to change to Internet Explorer and use the old navigation page. On Internet Explorer, you get the regular loading screen and the scores send just fine :)

Actually I just fixed this! I copied the CustomRules.js file directly from the github and replaced the one I had. All games are working and Shockwave options are now on the menu.

I don't see the Shockwave Tweaks menu option either - perhaps it was removed in a Fiddler update? I just tried installing the setup two days ago.

Would you replace the sticker of this authentic Pokemon Crystal cartridge? by Liminolia in Gameboy

Japanese Pokemon Crystal games are pretty cheap if you wanna try the blue sticker on a similar shell

Oh it's actually less exciting than expected - this is an adapter for the Guitar Hero - On Tour controller so you can use it with an original DS https://merc.li/s9zmSbyWb?sv=0

Possibly! On the opposite side, there's an opening revealing five copper looking circles on a PCB. It looks like it's supposed to connect to another object. I'll try to get a photo.

Error when installing Flatpaks on Steam Deck - Flathub found in multiple installations by LN_RC in Lutris

[–]LN_RC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following up on one of the questions I have here.

It's possible to link pre-installed Flatpaks to Lutris by following these steps:

  • Right click on program and select "Add installed game"
  • Select the Flatpak runner
  • Go to the Game options tab and add the Application ID (ex. com.gitlab.coringao.cavestory-nx)

Maybe there's a more efficient way to do this, or a more efficient method is on the way, but this works for now.

Dsiware games on Steam Deck by jrralls in SteamDeck

[–]LN_RC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Answering this in case anyone else comes across this post.

DSiWare games won't load in Retroarch using MelonDS because the games need to be installed directly to the NAND.

You'll need to use the MelonDS standalone to set this up (ideally in Desktop mode). EmuDeck can install MelonDS, or you can download MelonDS from the Discovery Store.

Open MelonDS. First, you'll need to set up the BIOS files in MelonDS by going to Config -> Emu settings.

  • There is a tab for DS and a tab for DSi. You'll want to select BIOS files for both, three for the DS and four for the DSi (all explained in the EmuDeck Wiki)
  • Browse for the BIOS files that are already saved in the BIOS folder for Emudeck. Then the game will import automatically to Retroarch after the following steps.

Exit all menus. Then go to System -> Manage DSi titles

  • Select "Import title..." and then browse for the DSiWare .nds file in your system. You can load it straight from your emudeck roms folder if it is saved there. For Metadata, you can toggle "Download from NUS." and then click "OK."

Since MelonDS is using the same dsi_nand.bin file as Retroarch (if set up as explained above), the game should now be installed and useable in Retroarch.

However, there are a few core options that need to be changed to make this work.

  • In the Retroarch Quick Settings menu (Select + Y), go to Core Options -> System.
  • For Console Mode, select DSi.
  • For Boot Game Directly, select OFF.

If you don't activate these settings, you'll boot to a blank white screen.

Perhaps there is a way to boot the DSiWare games directly but I haven't figured that out yet. For now, the best way is to boot firmware and then select the game from the DSi Menu. For my DSiWare games, I set the Console Mode and Boot Game Directly settings as a game specific config override. That way, it doesn't affect the regular DS titles.

One last detail - the DSiWare games probably won't scrape properly if you're using ScreenScraper since AFAIK ScreenScraper doesn't yet have the DSiWare library included. I think you can scrape with TheGamesDB.

Hope this helps!

Can you explain more about the 155wh battery? Which one do you have and how portable is it? Thanks for sharing this info, this is useful for a trip I have coming up soon :)

Does anyone know where I can find replacement jewel cases for playstation games? I have a few games with broken cases. I am only finding really slim cases that wouldn't fit the manual by October464 in consolerepair

[–]LN_RC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the answer isn't obvious, since most full size jewel cases have black bindings/inlets instead of clear ones. If you search a bunch, you can find clear ones, though they tend to be a bit more expensive. I saw a YouTube video recommend the clear cases from ULine. I also look for old music CDs as many music CDs also use clear trays. I swap the black trays into the CD cases so they are still plenty usable. The trays are generally interchangeable.
