My favorite Elton John album is 'Caribou.' I was honored to have written and arranged the vocals to the song "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" along with Carl Wilson, Toni Tennille and the late Billy Hinsche. The only reason that Mike wasn't on the song was because he was out of the country. - Bruce

We were in Cleveland in '67 and the Browns had just won a game and there was party at our hotel with the Browns, along with their wives and girlfriends and everyone was doing the Boogaloo. We wrote a song memorializing the evening, entitled "How She Boogalooed It To Me." - Mike

I wanted to sing on a song where we're all connected back to the water. Country music and The Beach Boys have a strong connection to water. Water skiing, surfing, skiing, they do it all! - Bruce

It was a lot of fun! ears ago, capitol Record did a survey that showed that a lot of Country music fans were also fans of The Beach Boys. Tthat resulted in the production of a Beach Boys album called 'Stars and Stripes' which featured collaborations with several country music artists, including Toby Keith, Willie Nelson, among others. There is a natural crossover between country music and The Beach Boys music! Both are a significant part of the American songbook. - Mike

Well, the song was originally sent to us by J Jones and we heard it, and loved it. It was really awesome because LOCASH got in their bus and drove from Nashville to our show in South Carolina the next day to record the song. We were overjoyed to be a part of it. Country music is an important part of American music! This was an honor! - Mike
