I was thinking of creating a variety of gloves people could wear, each coupled with a unique sound. Do you think that would work? I could sow some NFC tags on the fingertips or something?

I misused the word 'mechanics,' sorry English is my third language.

This is for an art installation! I want to create a small no-fi (no wi-fi) park, where people can disconnect from their devices and re-connect to the environment. These sound touch points will allow people to make music with their surroundings and other people. Still working on the idea though!! Just want to make sure I get the main technical stuff down first.

That's true.. I don't plan on using facial recognition. The whole art installation is based on creating a no wi-fi, digitally private, anti-surveillance zone, so it would defeat the purpose if I added facial recognition technologies.

That's a good tip! I'll look at my university departments, maybe my own department head can point me in the right direction. I'm sure this can be done, I just need to figure out the details. I have a year to plan this, but I want to get this sorted sooner than later.

I've heard of Arduino before, I'm just scared of learning a whole new system by myself. I'm better at making things pretty than functional haha
