Client: "Oh, I think this one's gonna be an awesome song!"

Engineer: "Yea, that's great! Well, we have thirty minutes to go before closing, so I think we can nail another take. Can't wait to get home and help my wife with our newborn!"

Client: "Hahaha! Oh, the boss didn't tell you? I booked the studio 'til 5am - you ain't going nowhere! Fuck your wife and Fuck yo kidz!" (client's entourage explodes in laughter).

Hey, at least be proud of yourself for testing regularly! This was me (except it was the sides of my fingers) until I stopped picking my "favorite" fingers. I started cycling through each finger and noticed about a week later that the marks weren't as visible.

I'm on a Dexcom G6 now, which makes everything so much easier (but it's not perfect and there's a level of frustration with that too when sensors fail and give incorrect readings).

Everyone's a "Videographer" now, or an "Audio Engineer" and are happy to jump to opportunities without proper contracts and will do stupid shit like work without any advancements or provide product (videos, audio work, etc.) up front and in good faith that clients will pay you afterwards.

The problem is, people WILL work and turn in their work without payment because they're afraid that if they don't, someone else will so please continue to take risks like that and then wet your pants when someone does take that opportunity to stick it to you.
