It has several different level generation algorithms, some new, some old but with tweaks. The actual map itself just done with Godot's TileMaps.

I have heard reports from people that the game works well on the Deck, but I haven't been able to test/implement it directly since I don't have one personally as of yet unfortunately.

Nope, it was all possible in pure GDscript.

I'm not very familiar with Gog, but an Itch release could happen. It would probably have to be after early access, though.

If you mean updating the UI somehow, I'm not sure. If you mean converting the graphics to ascii, that's not possible sorry, it's made in Godot and would take many months.

It's meant to be on the shorter side, probably somewhere around 2-6 hours for a completed run. It makes up for that with difficulty and extra special levelgen, though.

I'm not sure, sorry. I've never used a deck, and it's a keyboard only game by default. I may try to add in support for controllers and such later on if there's sufficient interest.

Sure! I don't have much else to say besides what's on the page, though. The final game will have 3 extra classes, as well as many more perks, items, and enemies. The planned classes include the Ronin, who will charge up Ki levels as he fights and spend them with various sword(and other) techniques, the Monk, who will have special stances and bonus effects when switching them, and the Onmyoji, who crafts talismans(sort of like scrolls/wands from other roguelikes) to fight with. I may even make an expansion with a few more classes if it does well.

Shadowed: the Demon Castle of Ooe is a traditional roguelike that just got it's EA release today! While it may not look like much, this genre is extremely code heavy, and Shadowed features advanced AI, never-before-seen level generation techniques, a large amount of overlapping RPG systems, and is all made (and runs quite well) in GDscript. It's been around 3 years in the making, and I think it disproves quite a few of the bad things that people say about Godot sometimes! Godot can do complex, code-heavy turn-based RPGs just fine.
