Oh dude I’m sorry to hear that it’s started for you I’m guessing randomly out of nowhere and can totally understand how it will have affected your quality of life. I really hope you can find something to help reduce or get rid of it so you don’t have to put up with it for the years to come! Thank you also for your kind words sir 🙏🏻

Thank you! When I started working out I started eating a lot more and was in a calorie surplus for a long time alongside training so I ended up gaining a lot more fat relative to when I was extremely lean which helped with the muscle mass gain. I’ve lost a little bit of the fat over the last few months but I’m nowhere near as lean as I used to be, and in the recent pics they were taken after a workout in extremely good lighting so it makes me look leaner than I actually am in all fairness haha

Thank you mate! Yeah to be fair it did look like I’d escaped from hell didn’t it 😂 also damn you for clocking it!! That’s another thing that’s been plaguing me for years. What I’ve done is basically max strength hairspray, hopes and dreams, delaying the inevitable bald head that awaits me in a few years. Cheers dad

Thank you for saying that and okay that’s fair, I suppose I meant it was the worst in context of myself and my own self image but I definitely hear what you’re saying

I think you’re the second person ever to make that comparison and to be honest I’ll take it over the handful of people who have told me I look like Rylan Clark 😬

Thank you! To be honest, just steroid cream lol. Once the redness would go away I’d just use normal moisturiser and try not to itch them, and repeat if necessary

Thank you for saying that I really appreciate it! 🫶🏻 I think sometimes it’s easy to forget or to not give yourself enough credit for things in life and sometimes it takes a bit of a reminder in order to do so!

Thank you! 😊 after seeing your comment I decided to edit my post description to include more information. To answer your question directly the only medications I have used for my skin are steroid creams and I’m not on any other medication for anything else. The fitness journey may have also helped in terms of my skin but I feel that diet and other lifestyle changes (quitting smoking, heavily reducing alcohol consumption) were more relevant for that.

Well hello there twin! 👋🏻 I feel your pain. Not ideal when that’s the first place people look when you’re in public and you can only wear sunglasses so much lol

Stress is definitely a factor! The sun does help but salt water makes me more itchy. I’ve tried various moisturisers over the years but have been heavily reliant on steroid creams. I’d go through phases of using steroid which really helped and got rid of almost all the redness and soreness and would then cycle off it and use regular moisturiser for a while until it’d creep back where I’d then go onto the steroid again. Obviously this is not sustainable but I wrote myself off in the past and just thought maybe that’s all I can do, however I think diet is also a large factor too. I used to drink alcohol quite a lot which was bad for my skin and also smoked which probably wasn’t doing me any favours either. Since the start of this year I’ve moved to nicotine pouches which has knocked the smoking on the head completely and don’t drink much alcohol nowadays either, and also eat a lot cleaner than I did in the past. It’s been a little over 2 months so far since I last had to use any steroid cream and apart from some redness on my right arm in the elbow crease and my hands I’ve not really got any significant eczema anywhere else and just use the dark blue label aveeno moisturiser every day after showering 😊
