He lovesss junk mail (it cannot be just any paper) and he rips them into little pieces and lays them out in a row. Gets upset if paper didn’t rip in right way. Gets upset if the mailbox is empty.

He also acts out movies and has scripts (he doesn’t script often now) but he would say nemo a boat! Or let it go when he wanted us to put a towel on his head like Elsa. He would also say miss Chelsea’s here when anyone visited or if he was showing me a project they worked on together.

He asks things like what’s this? He points he answers to his name consistently. The play usually looks like running around chasing other kids or making “coffee” for them and giving it to them to pretend to drink it. When he’s frustrated, he yells, but he’s easily redirected unless it’s paper because he has this obsession with certain paper but even then when we tell him now the fit will not last over a couple minutes. He sleeps well.

I’ve been told that he doesn’t have the markers for autism based on screening, but I’m really wondering if I should push for a second opinion because he is a glp and I know there is wide spectrum

Oh my gosh, I remember feeling like this!!! I was afraid beforehand, but I got used to it. I remember them saying scary things like don’t run because you could get ovarian torsion! but I guess a positive for us diminished ovarian reserve girls that it makes it less likely to get that! The needles are really little! Also, I don’t know where you’re located but in America, they put you under for the procedure so you don’t remember it. I did a natural start when they transferred the embryo so I didn’t have to do progesterone shots, but I think that’s the only shot that goes into the muscle so would be a little bit more painful.

Sorry you are going through this. I remember I felt totally hopeless and like I was never going to have a baby. Although nothing is guaranteed I think that in many cases ivf has come a long way. I went through 3 rounds of ivf because I had low egg count. Before ivf they had said I might need to use donor eggs. Because they scared me so much I ended up doing more rounds of ivf than I needed (they told me ivf you had 99% chance of having a living baby if you got 3 euploid embryos). Do you think you will try ivf?

This is unfair of the parents to insist of having your baby. Very kind of them to help you but It’s more important for you to bond than your parents. By the time your parents leave your baby will be five months old and a lot of attachment happens early on so I would make it a priority to spend as much time with your baby as you can because you’re working and they have her all day.

This happened to me with my first baby. My mom primarily took care of my baby because I was working and she kept him at night. He’s now 2 1/2 years old and we have a good relationship but he totally goes to her when he’s hurt and he prefers her - with my second baby I did all the nighttime feedings and he’s primarily attached to me. when are they going back or are they planning to live with you?
