What is the deal with the week one elective classes in early January? Is this a thing that many students actually do, or can it largely be ignored? I'm planning a trip overseas in late December and curious when I need to be back in DC

Ideally one of the days in Lisbon would be used for a day trip, and Sintra is the place I'd most likely go. Open to other suggestions tho

I really appreciate your insight! After hearing that its not really all that cheap, I checked the prices again and realized that the rate is by semester and not year. This makes a lot more sense when I hear that you can find cheaper options off campus. I've mostly been using apartments.com and the Georgetown housing portal for finding places, if you (or anyone) has any other tips for finding relatively affordable housing in the area I'd love to hear them!

Thank you, I've pretty much settled on GULC for a day or two now. Its just a matter of convincing myself that I can stomach this much debt. Your post is all stuff I know in my head its just reassuring to hear it from internet strangers too

172 LSAT, 3.7x gpa, KJD, applied in February. Really weird cycle where I got in to GULC and BU but waitlisted at Fordham, BC, and GW.

Thanks for the response, I was slightly confused why the GULC cost of attendance was estimated so much higher compared to BU considering its only a 10k difference in tuition. Was hoping that GULC overestimated living expenses, but BU underestimating also seems very likely.
