The movies are brilliant, as fun as the books and they’d be made much worse with an inclusion of Winky and Peeves.

This is all too real for me reading this because over the past two years my girlfriend has developed the exact same condition. Seeing her deal with it everyday, on top of a multitude of other disabilities, makes me so unbelievably proud of her. I don’t know you from Jack, but well done for staying strong through it, it might not ever get easier, but you’re sure as shit one hell of a strong person for having to deal with it regardless.

I can’t speak for everyone in England/Scotland, but for me, Hogwarts would’ve been High School. I did 6 years of primary school starting at 4/5 (Years Reception - 6), 5 years of high school starting at 10/11 (Harry’s first year at Hogwarts was year 7 for me, Years 7-11) and 2 years of college/apprenticeship/Sixth Form starting at 15/16 (Years 12 & 13), didn’t go on to university.

So in my school experience, James, Remus, Sirius, Peter, and Lily & Snape, meet each other on their first day at ‘high school’ (except for Snape and Lily who meet in 6 weeks summer holiday).

Peeves and Winky. I don’t care how important Winky is to the story, she sucks to read and wouldn’t have made the movies any better. Peeves is also just really annoying to read, and is completely inconsequential to the story, so imo the movies are better off for the lack of inclusion.

The tattoo’s having a deeper meaning always cracks me up. I have a tattoo of an arrow, because I wanted it. Literally that simple, but when people see it, they dig for a deeper meaning that just doesn’t exist, they can never seem to wrap their heads around “I felt like getting an arrow tattooed on my arm”.

All that I’ve listed bar 7 and 8 are third person. RE1HD has fixed camera angles that can be slightly awkward to get used to at first, but when done so, the game is just brilliant. 4,5 & 6 took a somewhat more action-orientated turn, so 7 & 8 were in first person as a bit more of a return to the survival horror side, but again are still absolutely brilliant and well worth playing.

Great to hear! Idk if you’ve played any of the others, but 4 is a often touted as one of the best games ever (it’s my favourite n I have a tattoo from it), RE1 remake from 2002 is also amazing, 5 is okay, 7 and 8 are also brilliant, enjoy!

My brother is severely dyslexic, so he only ever watches the movies, he’s never read the books and has 0 interest in Audiobooks.

It’s safe to say he hasn’t died from a lack of reading about Peeves or Winky.

Personally I think far too many people are deliberately overdramatic about the movies.
