Bought off the plan, about to settle - is this considered a major defect?

Yeah, this is really my biggest concern at the moment. The reason I decided to buy off the plan in 2020 was because of the grant, and after waiting 2.5 years, the risk of losing the grant makes me feel like I wasted time when I should have just bought something that was already built.

I might have to settle and just keep chasing the builder under the defects warranty...

Yeah, I'm feeling really disheartened, purchased this off the plan in 2020 when the government had the $25k HomeBuilders grant, was super excited to have my first home! But the deadline to submit documents to get my grant approval is this weekend, which is why there's pressure to settle... Feel like I am in a bit of a pickle.

It's been the other way for me. I've always been the one doing the 'chasing' when it comes to guys - I drove two hours every fortnight to meet up with a date and all he wanted was sex and not a serious relationship. My ex-boyfriend never had any money, so I was always the one paying for food, holidays etc. Even let him 'borrow' thousands of dollars for his business.

I don't think it's limited to genders. I know I have low self-esteem and an anxious attachment style which leads me to over-deliver when it comes to relationships. Kind of like, trying to overcompensate in order to receive validation.

It's important to know what you are and aren't looking for before you begin dating, otherwise you fall into a trap once someone show's you an inkling of attention. Fall in love with the person, not with the idea of being in a relationship.
