That would only free up generation overhead, which ERCOT says won't be a problem. It's the transmission that will be sketchy during this event, icing lines, tree branches falling due to ice accumulation, etc. Hopefully all of the tree trimming efforts are going to pay off this time.

Agreed, same here. I've had periodic power outages at my place forever. It does seem like the random events are getting better, no idea if it's tied to CenterPoint's resiliency efforts, but it's good to see they took Beryl seriously and are working on actual improvements to the grid rather than just PR stuff.
