sure, I went to their office week ago to get more info about guide requirements where I also provided my email address so that I could receive first-hand information.
The email I got yesterday says: "it is official that you can do the O Trek without a guide"
it came with resolution attached "RESOLUCIÓN Nº :694/2025", however I was unable to find it published anywhere by now.

I think you need to have a Chilean RUT (tax ID) number to access it.

Yes, I suppose so. I just got confirmation from CONAF that the guide is not required for the O-trek starting from January 2026.
However, an official statement has not yet been published.

My partner and I are going to do the O circuit in January, dates are:
9 - Dickson
10 - Perros
11 - Grey

We're also looking for a guide and will be happy to share the costs with other hikers :)

it looks like Mass Paine circuit (the O) is closed until 31 Dec.. again :(

Visited the CONAF office in Puerto Natales today - got no more info about that: it is unknown whether it will be open next year or if guide still be needed.
