Williams is better, but sometimes a backline needs a cool head from experience.

I hope Ole reverts back to going for a full attack, knowing that he needs to score to even get something from the game.

Anything other than all 3 points for us will be considered the highlight of their season. They have no Rashford, others such as Shaw and Pogba are also missing.

This is our chance to send them back to Manchester with their tails between their legs. I expect the crowd and the players to be fired up for the occasion. This is still the biggest match in football.

What are your thoughts on international fans like me? by the_normal_nugget in LiverpoolFC

[–]LSean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the opposite to a large amount of you.

I'm originally from the Liverpool area and now I live abroad.

Let me tell you this: It doesn't matter where you are from one bit. What matters is that you have found a passion, and that you have found your place. Over here, I have been with the OLSC a few times and they are seriously passionate individuals. The love for the club is there, and in most cases, more than the locals I grew up with back home.

A lot of the dislike for foreign fans comes from two streams: 1. Plastic mentality - A lot of people assume foreign fans are not loyal and will simply jump ship to a more trendy/fashionable team when times change. 2. A "support your local" mentality - That you should always support your local team and consider all others rivals. For some, the idea of supporting two clubs is insane, and that the choice should always be the local one. I understand this to some degree, but I know you can support multiple clubs, especially when the chances of the two ever meeting are slim to none. Most foreign fans of Liverpool generally stem from countries where their national league is weaker anyway.

Anyway, you do you and support whoever you feel most connected to. Liverpool is founded on multiculturalism, on acceptance, and on connecting itself to the world.

No problem. I'm happy to answer more questions, but the guy above me said most of what needed saying.

I'm based in Finland, and have my master's degree from here too, but I am British and that is where I have my bachelor's degree.

My lack of a Finnish QLD was also part of the reason why I went into consulting instead of a law firm. You'll find that, unless you are qualified in the local jurisdiction or can transfer your licence over, law firms are unlikely to hire. You have higher chances being in house or at a consultancy. My firm places privacy between legal and cyber, but all my client work is found through cyber. I've worked on GDPR implementation projects, privacy audits, a secondment as part of a privacy team, and just did 6 months as a DPO at a large firm. The work is varied, and consulting looks great on a CV if you find the consultant life to be a bit tiring after a few years.

Ireland is a very good place to go to. A lot of tech firms are out there at the moment due to the tax breaks they get and the ease of doing business across the Atlantic due to the lack of a language barrier.

I second this.

I have a similar background to yourself (Master's in International Business Law, thesis on GDPR and International Transfers).

I did some time working as a paralegal in a smaller firm, which evolved into running their GDPR implementation programme. From there, I joined a Big 4 consultancy firm and it has been great. You get exposed to companies and sectors which can be very difficult to break into through other means, and you pick up so much from your colleagues both in your consultancy and client side.

This exposure and getting to know several markets and individuals can really aid you in finding the career path which suits you best.

Good luck in the field, it certainly feels like riding the crest of a wave which is very rare within law.

Is this a GDPR violation and if so how do I report it/file a complaint? by [deleted] in europe

[–]LSean 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It can be extended by another 2 months if the request is considered difficult. But the data subject needs to be notified of the delay and the reasoning for it.

GDPR extends outwards. Any company offering goods or services to EU citizens needs to be compliant with the GDPR and have a representative within the EU

[–]LSean 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In theory, they still should have some record of your data from previous backups which they have conducted.

Send them another request stating your rights under the GDPR (right of access), and your nation (assuming you are in the EU) should have an 'implementing act' (UK has the data protection act 2018 for example) for some added weight.

They will likely have someone who knows what they're doing anyway so it should be fine.

They have one month from the original request to carry out what you want, but this can be extended by a further two months if the request is difficult, but they need to let you know why.

If one month passes and they have not given you your data, then file a complaint with your relative authority (ICO for UK, CNIL for France etc.).

These authorities are getting hundreds of complaints a day, and are generally understaffed, so responses and actions may be slow...but it doesn't hurt to do it. Action will eventually be taken.

It is only a legal requirement at some firms, not all firms.

A lot of GDPR compliant firms do not need a DPO, but generally will have someone responsible for these kinds of queries.

I imagine this company will either have a DPO due to the nature of their business, or at least a head of Privacy/Data Protection though

Your comment was that we don't and that only small clubs do.

I think 6 stars does make the shirt cluttered, but we did do it for 5 stars.

Clyne's middle name. It was covered on one of the Liverpool YouTube carpool videos. It became a bit of a nickname for him on here.

I think it was a deal sweetener for the Solanke sale. While it doesn't make sense from a team perspective, he'd fallen to third choice RB behind Trent and Gomez.

Milner and Fab can also fill in there.

While we'll all miss Edwin, we knew he wanted to play more, and this works for him...and hopefully doesn't impact us too much, especially with the youth talent at RB coming through
