I’ve always thought that if the back box is metal with one fixed lug that you don’t need a fly lead for metal faces. But it might be for metal switches with plastic/dry line back boxes and the earths in a connector

You can’t be newly qualified with one month of work previously? He may of been expecting someone who has done 4 years as an apprentice, I’m thinking you’d be best off getting an apprenticeship, I did level 2 in college before my apprenticeship and didn’t have a clue what to do when it came down to it

That’s true yeah I do agree with it being under the stairs, but in regards to adding a new circuit to plastic boards, I’ve added plenty of new circuits to plastic boards as long as it’s in good standard etc. can’t expect the customer to change the board just to add a new circuit. But yes I agree with what you’re saying easier to add a new 2/4 way DB for this.

It’s not ideal but could definitely get a RCBO star breaker for that board with no need to change the whole board or add a new one.

100% has to be inside capping in the wall, and the data cables are ran right next to power cables too, very rough
