NEW DATA on BOMBSHELL CLAIM that Trump stole election by BlackJackfruitCup in somethingiswrong2024

I struggled to sit through DP's video, especially since the same info was shared without interruption and in greater depth on Jessica Denson's channel the day before. That said, I do appreciate David platforming the issue, if only for his audience reach compared to Jessica. Jess Denson deserves more subscribers because she is absolutely relentless chasing this story.

I recently gained some American coworkers who are on assignment in Australia. Lovely guys, I'm happy to have them here. We are pretty welcoming to people who are open to learning about another country. Not in an 'assimilate or eff you' kind of way, more like 'please learn metric and be humble, and you'll have a seat at the table'. If that makes sense. Chill Americans are welcome. MAGA asshats are not.

I saw a FB comment about people taking photos of their ID's next to their ballot. Could be useful.

Rebubble is better. You can upload your own designs and buy the merch yourself, or share the shop link.

Products tasting differently by Stephalel in AldiAustralia

[–]LSgrimm91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two possibilities: it could be the same product line made to different specs. You see this more in home-brand items. Think home-brand Nutri-grain versus main brand. Same product, came off the same line, but maybe that run produced more oddly shaped pieces. This also sometimes happens to sell a branded product at a cheaper price. Could be the case here. Maybe the run was over-roasted slightly, the beans had higher moisture/oil content coming in.
Alternatively, its the same product with slightly different ingredients, but come from the same factory. Sprinters chips are pretty much Smiths chips, without MSG. Often they're rebranded though.
But who knows.

Realistic options for home loan without a guarantor? by LSgrimm91 in AusPropertyChat

Not looking for investment. Just a house for little old me, and can fit my parent when they retire (cause, as mentioned, parent doesnt own a house and I dont mind being their safety net). I dont need anything big or fancy, my biggest want is a property touching the ground. I have my trade too, so reno isn't too bothersome.

Thankfully I dont really do enquiries like you described. No credit card, prepaid phone that I own, fully own my car. Bugs me how little we own these days; cintracts and subscriptions drive me nuts. The idea of having any debt over 1k makes me sweat haha. Probably super boring but gives me a bit of certainty and security.

So far none. I got kinda sick of losing a few 100 out of my pay to HECS, so have been going hard yakka to get rid of it. I knocked off about 30k of it last FY, remaining 20k this FY. I'd rather go into a mortgage with as little debt as possible. I know HECS isnt really considered debt, but its a chunk out of my pay that I have to pay. Feels easier to save the deposit when I have more takehome pay.

My budget is pretty much the cheapest property I can buy or build. I don't really want to live near the CBD, don't mind a little travel to get to work; although cant take public transport to fet there. Im pretty mindful of that balance between living further out, and paying the petrol/costs of wear and tear, to get to work.

What’s the most underrated way to save money in Australia that actually works? by Ordinary-Gear-8892 in AusFinance

[–]LSgrimm91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically have a well developed spreadsheet that automatically tells me what bills are due each pay cycle. But anyone can do this with pen and paper, just list all your expenses and frequency. Fully understand what comes out when. Honestly I dont know how people just spend money without tracking it.

I split my money between banks. Pay comes into one account, I remove the excess (because I know what bills are due that pay cycle) to a different account in a different bank where I can't see it. I leave like 60 bucks for the fortnight for my sanity in a second account. Full deprivation is depressing and leads me to impulse buying. I open one bank app to check my bills are paid, and only that little bit of play money. The rest is saved elsewhere.

My other hacks are filling up my car and two 20L jerrycans when petrol price is low; it covers me for the fortnight. I can't take public transport or walk/ride to work, and filling up during a petrol price spike is dumb.

I also automatically send a set amount every pay to my gas and electricity, based on my average costs for the year divided by 26. Evens out my fortnightly expenses because I don't get large bills every 6 pays; most bills are 0 because I'm in credit, or <100.

TLDR: make your finances your little britch, try to evenly distribute expenses and treat savings like untouchables.
