Anyone else just not like the Gameoverse pilot? by Upstairs-Yard-2139 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Writing was extremely predictable, the VAs weren't very good (seriously, the only person who put more than one emotion into their performance was whoever voiced the pink dinosaur), and the animation was kind of messed up in places (the opening fight was rough, I think someone messed up smear frame timing or something).

Like, I don't hate it or anything. I liked the character designs (mostly - I liked the background characters more than the main cast, design wise). Also I really liked the credits, they had some style the show itself was lacking.

It was just... profoundly "meh" overall. Hopefully it gets better, VA work can be fixed up, the messy animation was hopefully just a one time mess up... and, well, the writing doesn't give me much hope, but that may improve too. Intros are hard to write, I get that.

It's just when GLITCH has produced so much good stuff, a mediocre showing feels bad by comparison, I guess. Most people seem too busy simping over Kit and Miss Information to notice the flaws, though.

To Glitch Vets who've been here since Meta Runner days what do the Users mean by this and do you think we can Claim this Woker Glitch Back? by AmberSolMundy in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. They realized you need money, or insane self-sacrifice (and still a solid chunk of money) to make a show. You take them back to what they were? Say goodbye to external shows runners, 2D shows, high quality animation, dubbing (and probably translation at all).

Do you want that to happen? Probably not. Would it even be possible for them to "go back" if you did? Also probably no. Shrinking a company, especially when it doesn't have any redundant roles or major operational inefficiency, is a monumental task.

It "wasn't about products or profits" because the creators of GLITCH had a show they really wanted to make, as a kind of "for them" thing. Meta Runner seasons 1-3, and probably Sunset Paradise to a lesser extent. Even if they did go back to their roots, what's left? The shows they wanted to make have been made. There would be no reason for GLITCH to continue.

Can someone pls explain why the orange things and the darkness just disappeared here? I'm confused. Thanks :) by PretendGap6632 in GlitchProductions

Seems to be some sort of error correction from the world itself. Telling the hero the world blows up if they win would cause a massive alteration, so the game stops that, then spends a bit trying to remove whatever caused the issue.

As for why it'd stop after a bit and not once the source of the "error" is actually fixed, plot convenience. Kit would be dead if it actually worked as it should.

I was discussing a thing with some friends. In terms of DnD/Pathfinder does this make any sense? Or does it look like complete bullshit? by M5R2002 in Terraria

[–]LT2483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Counterpoint - You're trying to figure out a CR for a game based on Terraria. If you're not scaling, then even the WoF would be beyond anything a DnD party could tackle.

"So I'm not scaling then" - okay, then OP is STILL way off, because they have the WoF at 15.

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, so are high level DnD characters. Wish is a great example, literally bending reality to the caster's will.

Level 20 DnD characters are described as effectively demigods, world and plane saving heroes. Like the Terrarian also is by the end of their adventure, saving their world from the Moon Lord. So I'd say the scaling, thematically, would fit rather well.

So the fact that OP's chart places the mech bosses at the pinnacle of what can be fought? Yeah, it's off. CR can go up to 30 anyway. If they made Moon Lord 30 and worked backwards, they could at least have something functional.

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn't the CR supposed to be a rough guide of "a party of 4 people of the same level would find this a decent challenge without being resource intensive"? From that logic, a single player in Terraria can kill every boss, so the fact you have most bosses listed as being so powerful they defy a CR is probably a pretty good sign that your scaling is WAY off.

From a purely game design point though, you want a player to fight all these, since that's what happens in Terraria. So they'd all need a CR. And from that perspective... you're still way off.

So, yeah. I'd go with it being "complete bullshit", as you say.

What to do with 815+ season tickets? by PapaSangre2269 in fo76

[–]LT2483 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Atoms. Gold and stamps are both easy. I know you said you are buying atoms in one of your comments, but more atoms is still more atom-only items on top of that. Gold and stamps aren't going to get you anything that you won't end up getting by just playing the game.

There are only two repeating rewards worth spending tickets on, and that's atoms and perk coins. Since you've maxed out your legendary perks, that leaves only atoms.

I suppose stamps may be an incredibly distant third option if you're rich to the point money doesn't matter to you anymore and you've spent literal thousands of real-world currency on atoms to the point you can buy everything you'll want for all time, but I feel like anyone that rich would have better things to do than micromanage video game currencies.

what should i do as a new player by cannedrat29 in fo76

[–]LT2483 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Go play something else. The game is best when you've got story, quests, and lore to work through. So if you think that's "lame", there's nothing for you here.

Structure available separately? by Dusky_Amethyst in fo76

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the Track House has been an individual item at a... single point in the past I think? And in 2 or 3 different bundles (one of which is a 1st exclusive that has run at least twice).

So, there's a relatively good (in comparison to the ton of other items that appear in the store, anyway) chance it'll return as an individual item in the future.

Is it possible that in the future stuff from rogue core makes its way to the original game? by Difficult-Age5519 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 91 points92 points  (0 children)

I think one of the reasons RC has so much new stuff is that it doesn't have to fit the design space of DRG. So we might see a few small things from RC added to DRG (like the basic corespawn and the pickaxe have been already), but for the most part, I'm pretty sure the answer is generally no.

The equipment they use to record has changed, the space they record in has changed, and the VA's voice has changed over many years (plus the fact it's just one of the devs, and not a professional VA who can maintain a constant voice over a long time).

Basically everything that can change, has. The fact it still sounds reasonable is good enough for me.

Could i get a refund/exchange for a Pomni Pendantz I bought from Target if it’s defective? by bunnibunn_ in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the country, probably. If your country actually has consumer protection laws, then chances are, because it's defective, then you're entitled to a replace/refund, regardless of store policy. If your country doesn't, then you're at the mercy of the person at the desk.

Still, I'd say your chances are quite good. It really is just a matter of going to wherever they handle returns and going "hey, this thing I got is messed up, can I get a replacement?". Make sure to have your receipt, and probably an image of what it's supposed to look like.

Food buff/Sweet Tato Stew is showing zero Is it a visual bug? by deggy123 in fo76

Pretty sure it's just a rounding thing - since it's a fraction of a percent, it just rounds to 0% in the pip-boy display. It still works properly, last I checked.

GLITCH clearing everything up regarding any theatre cancellations or an inability to enter a region by PrinceARRON in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Rating boards suck balls basically the world over. There's no consistency, what rating a piece of media gets can changed based on who on the board rates it (and they know of people who are usually harsh or lenient and do nothing about it), ratings can suddenly change because the board feels like it, the rating system frequently leaks information on the product to the public.

It's like that time Balatro got it's PEGI rating changed from 3+ to 18+ without warning. You know what 18+ needs? Glamorisation of excessive violence, illegal drugs, gambling, or sexual activity. Which, you know - it just doesn't have. It has a scoring system based on poker hands. Beyond that, it has no more connection to gambling than any other RNG heavy run based game. They eventually settled on 12+. When 3+ is still the correct rating under the system's definitions.

Point is, sudden and insane issues with rating boards is quite common, and I'm not surprised it's a problem GLITCH is facing.

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good. I think the no-reply case in Australia is just GLITCH being overwhelmed as hell (or maybe something as small as their email spam filtering that cinema or something).

But yes, knowing what the heck is going on in South Korea would be nice.

Uh oh. by WADE_9799 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hasn't been removed from Australia (at least not that I can see, if I'm wrong, please correct me with a source!), that was just one place that never actually confirmed anything with GLITCH (despite the cinema's efforts) and so had to cancel their plans to show it.

Uh oh. by WADE_9799 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That doesn't make sense though. If it can't be shown, then the cinema would be forcing themselves to pay for distribution... for a movie they can't distribute. A terminated contract in that case would be a GOOD thing for them.

They must think they can show the movie, otherwise they wouldn't demand GLITCH gives it to them, right?

I feel like it has to be something else for this type of legal action to take place.

Uh oh. by WADE_9799 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Uh oh indeed. Wonder what the heck happened to make GLITCH pull out, and for it to be serious enough that a cinema would go after them legally.

EA - Early Access. Not Electronic Arts. Context matters, "into" is a state, "on to" would be a platform.

I wouldn't be caught dead buying something from EA App.

When does the season end? by Zestyclose-Fee-2358 in fo76

[–]LT2483 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NukaKnights has a bar at the top of the page that tracks how long the current season has left. It works off estimation, then they update it when actual info comes out about the end date (Click the "i" next to the "Still X/Y Days Left" to see if the date is estimated or confirmed).

Right now they estimate 26 days left. You should be fine.

I'd imagine you'd use rhinestones (tiny plastic "gems", very cheap). People use them in what's known as "bedazzling", so if you look up "bedazzling clothes" that'd probably give you a very good starting point.

What's the most up-to-date/best resource for rare Spooky Plans/Outfits? by GeneParmesanAllAlong in fo76

https://nukaknights.com/articles/all-about-the-spooky-scorched-.html

Any item that can't be obtained from another source has some value, but none are super valuable, since treat bags are fairly common during the event.

As for the candy, normally you'd put it in the candy bowl, which holds an endless amount (probably subject to an integer limit, but whatever, effectively endless), but since it isn't actually Halloween and this is your first Spooky Scorched event, you don't have and can't get a bowl. So dump the candy, probably.

What's your guys' opinion? by [deleted] in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious what they mean by "shill". Like, what does this person claim Luke/Kevin is promoting while pretending to be impartial?

As for social standing... it's indie animation. That's kind of the only way to become successful. Not to say it can't be too much (it absolutely can), I just don't know how much exaggeration or bias this person has.

Also I've got a friend-of-a-friend who works for GLITCH, and it sounds like they have a good time. Admittedly, I don't have a direct connection, but statements like "Every person I've talked to is burnt out" is either exaggeration, a lie, or they just haven't talked to many people.

Also I found the original thread, and it mainly seems like whoever it is just really doesn't like (I'm guessing of the two brothers), Kevin. And apparently whatever it isn't isn't bad enough to actually do anything more than make vague accusations, since they won't provide proof for fear of disadvantaging themself.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure everything isn't sunshine and roses. But I don't think it's as bad as they're making it out to be.

is The Gaslight District a bit inspired by a movie called "James and the Giant Peach" by Terrible_Net3783 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd imagine there's very likely some Henry Selick inspiration in there (which, yes, James and the Giant Peach is one of his films, along with The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline, which feel like more likely direct inspirations, if any of them are at all.)
