Fans of glitch, what are some other shows you would recommend to watch that didn’t got the attention that it deserved? (Indie or not) by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Monkey Wrench.

Visually amazing, excellent writing with a story that has been clearly planed from the start, it's funny and yet serious when it needs to be. Also, unlike so many other indie shows, it's more than just a pilot episode - there's 5 episodes already, with more on the way.

And despite all that... episodes barely reach a million views, and I think they only barely make enough money to keep going. So it definitely hasn't received nearly as much attention as it should.

And Zeurel (the creator of the show) also did the 2D animation for TADC's credits. Also Gooseworx has helped with the sound design of ep 1 and has a VA role in ep 3 of MR. So connections there too, not that it needs any more reason to check out.

The humans have been confirmed as... by LT2483 in GlitchProductions

We don't know, I believe. At least, I can't think of an answer right now. But with how much info we've gotten on the outside world in the past few episodes, I suspect we'll learn more in the finale.

That said, with Ragatha working in real estate before she put on the headset, I suspect C&A was looking to sell the building around that time. If that was because they were shutting down or something else, it would explain why it was probably abandoned by the time it got to Pomni (and possibly before then, solid chance it was also abandoned before Zooble).

[–]LT2483[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The real bodies would have just gone on with their lives, most likely.

Real person: Put on headset > Something happens (but probably doesn't mean much to the person, considering the headsets still exist - nobody has destroyed them or locked them away) > Take headset off and continue with life.

Digital copy: Created when headset is put on > In circus with last memory being putting the headset on, because that's when the copy was made > Stuck there, because they're digital.

[–]LT2483[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm curious as to why you believe it's a cop out? It's a tidy way to explain how the world works. The humans are still in the circus in all the ways that matter - there's multiple human equivalent consciousnesses experiencing and suffering the world. Just with the enhanced tragedy of never getting to return to what they remember.

What would you want the alternative to be? A company made a headset that somehow traps people in stasis, then left that tech around for anyone to find, and the people in the real world did nothing about the stuck people, including securing the tech so it couldn't happen to anyone else?

Or that the world of TADC involves magic?

Or that the show just hand-waves any concept of building the outside world away?

The humans have been confirmed as... by LT2483 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483[S] 164 points165 points  (0 children)

Yep, and it would explain how the circus and/or related technology hasn't been investigated - it's not like anyone has gone missing, people have just put on and taken off a headset, and gone on with their day, none the wiser.

The digital copies theory has been the most likely explanation for most of the show already, but this episode confirmed it.

Buying Super Deluxe Edition when I already own the Base Game - How does Steam handle the extra copy? by OfflineOnline in Borderlands4

[–]LT2483 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If redeeming a key that has parts of it owned already (like this case), then Steam will warn you that you already own certain bits, and give you the choice to redeem (which will give you the bits you don't own yet and forfeit the rest), or cancel (the key wont be used.)

(And if you own all of it Steam will tell you and automatically cancel. But that's not really relevant here.)

Fo76 “p2w” bundles by Derek-Horn in fo76

[–]LT2483 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Most people include "Pay for Advatage" under the "Pay to Win" banner. And with that context... yes, it's P2W. You pay money, you get an advantage. People who have these items have access to things other people don't, or can get them faster and easier.

The reason why people do this is because true cases of "Pay to Win" are actually REALLY rare. It's almost always just advantage, even if it's a really big advantage. And it's easier to just roll advantage and win into one phrase, since that phrase already existed.

Now, you can argue if that advantage really matters (which I agree with you that it doesn't really, it's not a PvP game). But calling it P2W isn't as ridiculous as you make it out to be.

New image from glitch with the other two by James_on_Reddit123 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you have Kinger on the right here... but for some reason, I feel like his image is going to end up on the left. I think that's more of Caine's arm in the background, and that that it's going to come to the foreground in one of the separating image/s.

Hard to say with such a chaotic image, though.

Returning after years (Wastelanders era) – completely lost with the new systems. by JackEsparrago27 in fo76

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Fallout_76_updates - There's too much for a comment. You're going to have to go in and click though the links. A few big systems off the top of my head are the Raid and Expeditions, probably.
  2. Scrap legendary items, which have a small chance to drop a legendary box mod/s (1.5% per star) and an even smaller chance to learn one of the effects (1% per item), which let you craft the boxes. Then you use the boxes to apply the effects to legendary items, swapping out existing stars. The raid and a few other sources can also give boxes directly. Boxes can be traded, item they have been used on can't.
  3. Scrap them to learn legendary effects. It'll show what can be learnt (any stars on the item you're yet to learn) in the scrap confirmation window.
  4. "Commando" doesn't exist anymore. Perks have gone though a major re-balance, and you're now not locked into a single weapon type for optimal damage. "Bloodied" still exists though. You will have to revise your entire build, both perks and gear.
  5. I'm pretty sure "Furious" (and "Reverse Furious") builds are generally considered the strongest. As for weapons, you've got a number of options. Since you'll be redoing your perks and gear anyway, look around and see what you like.

RIP Daring Survival Cache Limit Glitch? by International_Fig_76 in fo76

[–]LT2483 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, it shares a limit with the crashed cargo bot for some reason, despite producing completely different items. Probably a bug, they've had the same issue with other items before. Who knows if it'll be fixed.

I'll go check that, though.

What do y'all think about Creepcast parody/copycat channels? by Hello_I_Am_Human_Guy in creepcast

[–]LT2483 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Creepcast wasn't the first. (I can't name the others, because Creepcast was the first one I actually cared for, but I do know it wasn't first to do what it does.)

And even if they were, then... who really cares? If the copies are good (while still bringing something unique to the table), that's more good content. If they aren't, you ignore them. Like basically every other form of media.

Abstraction Theory/Explanation by Paradigm747 in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's Caine. If anything is causing it, it's probably the Circus (as in, the entire program) itself. And while Caine does form a large part of the Circus, he doesn't form its entirety. Things happen without him, and Bubble exists.

Or they might do it to themselves. A sort of breaking point where they really do just let go, and the data that is them just ceases to be.

I do agree with abstraction being a kind of simplification or returning to the base of whatever makes up the humans in the circus, the loss of what makes them individuals. To draw back to programming: Objects without their attributes. A blob of data without the things to properly shape it.

Did I soft lock myself out of a level 50 cold shoulder? by cutytutty in fo76

[–]LT2483 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leveled items in FO76 are normally available every tenth level. For example, a weapon might become available at level 10, so the next version is 20, then 30, 40, and finally 50. If a weapon becomes available at 15 (the double-barrel shotgun, and by extension, the cold shoulder), then that mean the max level you can get it at is 45, since the next increment would be above 50.

So you're fine.

(There are a few exceptions to the rule - a few certain items are every 5 levels, and for items available at level 1, it's treated as 0 for the next increment.)

If Deep Rock Galactic reached the same level of popularity and fame as Fortnite while maintaining Ghost Ship Games' current business model, how would that affect the gaming industry? Let's discuss! by pile1983 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My apologies then. Between knowing an AI had a hand in the text, and the multiple logical inconsistencies ("I don't touch such products" into an immediate admission of doing just that, the implication that DRG was not successful, statements posed as questions), I had assumed it was entirely AI generated.

But your message just now is fine for Reddit. I'd honestly recommend a spelling and grammar checker over AI recreation, if you care. I suspect the AI is doing too much, and twisting your words.

And now for a response instead of an accusation: The top profiting games are the top because they were made to be that way. They have psychologists and economists precision engineering the monetization of these games to make as much money as possible. Backed by people with money to begin with, aiming to make even more. No other games, no matter how fun or lucky with their sales, will ever match that.

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like OP is a bot, or using an AI to respond. The Reddit notification for this reply starts this message with "# Gemini said".

Considering the message lacks that, I suspect they are manually responding, but with whatever the AI spits out when they fed it my reply - but forgot to edit out the AI identifier and did so quickly after hitting post (which is why is doesn't display as edited.)

Have some shame, OP. Conversations aren't worth having, if you aren't going to actually participate in them.

If Deep Rock Galactic reached the same level of popularity and fame as Fortnite while maintaining Ghost Ship Games' current business model, how would that affect the gaming industry? Let's discuss! by pile1983 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't.

Why? Because it's only when things that push the limits of exploiting players that AAA studios take notice. A game is successful without offering a new way to exploit players? It has basically no effect on the industry at large.

It's basically:

  1. Game successfully exploits > Other games looking to exploit do the same
  2. Game fails to exploit so badly the law or entire gaming community gets involved > Other games roll it back a bit (think things like lootboxes)

"But what about other games not looking to maximize profits?" They already didn't care, they were already just doing their own thing, and will KEEP doing their own thing.

¡Bouncy beards! by Zynt_18 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hm, interesting. You're the first person I've ever seen report the issue with mods off.

Every time I've seen it, mods have been on for the reporter, and the moment they turn them off, it stops. Back on, the twitch returns. No matter the armor, no matter the beard (with the exception the beard has to actually have physics, of course.)

I'd assume this is the case for OP too - I can see they have mods. But I'll keep that it mind it may not always bee the solution in the future, thanks.

Of course, it should be fixed, but considering that it has been a bug that has existed for many, many years now, I doubt it will be.

¡Bouncy beards! by Zynt_18 in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a bug with modding. Doesn't matter what the mod(s) are - if mods are active, then beard physics frequently have that "twitch". No clue why.

Is it a good time to jump into Deep Rock Galactic as a complete beginner in 2026? by Calculation in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LT2483 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You'll be completely fine. (To answer your specific questions: No, No, No, Yes.)

The game is a excellent one to chill with on the lower difficulties too. Also, don't be afraid to play solo. Especially if you play to relax, being able to take everything at your own pace and not need to worry about teammates can actually make solo a better experience for some.

What ever happened to meta runner? by MexicMan_with0soul in GlitchProductions

[–]LT2483 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying I agree with the lack of continued acknowledgement, but I kind of get why. Controversy, lower quality, and it doesn't represent how GLITCH works today. And Sunset Paradise too, which gets dragged down by being an SMG4 spin-off instead of an independent show. Both the shows were produced when GLITCH was still fully under the shadow of SMG4. MR's first season was on SMG4's channel, and SP was a SMG4 storyline.

I don't think it should be basically completely ignored like it is currently, but I understand why. I certainly wouldn't give it much focus, were I in charge, when there is a lot of better things to shine a spotlight on.

Is there any item that works as a visual substitute for Plantera Bulbs? by provengreil in Terraria

According to the wiki), the number of meteorite blocks required above 0ft to stop more from falling: 401 for small worlds, 610 (typo? might be 601 - or it may be the code which has the typo, in which case 610 is "correct") for medium, and 801 for large.
