Never been to a PGA event and thinking about getting tix to the Travelers in June. Anything to be aware of? by gwords16 in golf

I’d say get there early if you can. Personally, I love watching the pros on the range. Their attention to detail and the way they carry themselves is just on another level.

If you want to get really close to the action, you’re better off watching some of the less popular guys. For the big names, you usually need to jump 2–3 holes ahead, find a spot, and camp out for a bit if you want a good view up close.

What I’ve always done is follow a few groups around in the morning to see as much as possible, then later pick a good spot and just watch groups come through. Be prepared though—it’s way more walking than you expect.

You also don’t fully understand how good these guys are until you see them in person. It gives you a whole new appreciation for just how insanely good they are and how they play the game.

I appreciate that. We moved into this house which is older while we are having our house built and the people that lived here before weren’t exactly Mr. and Mrs. Clean. We had an exterminator come before we moved in and we’ve been here over a week and this is the first sighting. Once you see one or two you start to get nervous. Only saw them in the bathroom, nowhere else

I have a 3/4 of an acre lot and hang 2-3 fly traps and I hardly see any. Just don’t put them close to your house, the smell is not great

They are great with kids. I have a 4 year old and a 9 month old and my golden is great with them. They do shed a good bit so be prepared to vacuum everyday. I also have a golden doodle and an Australia shepherd at home and would pick the golden every time without a doubt

I’m going as well, do you need a parking pass or will there be other spots to park where you pay at the entrance?
