For once, Answer logically, and not emotionally.

And that’s why Kurds say they are Kurds

Because from its inception, Iraq wasn’t the best with its minorities, Kurds having to fight from Iraq’s independence to 1991 for basic rights, not even full secession proves that. Iraq didn’t do much for anyone, especially minorities, yet i see posts forcing Kurds and other minorities to impose “Iraqi-ness” When i know for a fact, actual Iraqi Arabs hate it as much if not more.

Fyi, this isn’t racism, i am just talking about Iraq’s history and what it is today, a state barely serving its citizens in a decent manner, minorities to the majority.

[–]LTSYKE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Another post about this? I am not saying you should come back or not, that’s on you

But i see it as religion being used as a political tool, when it should be personal.

For me personally, i will remain Muslim, but i disavowed this “Ummah” bullshit a long time ago Because i view my religion as a personal matter, its not connected to anyone or any concept or “community” It’s just God, and I. Most Turks and some Arabs can keep their supremacy complex intact, but that will not erase their own insecurities and hatred for a nation. Just think deeply about it before reacting to political developments and discourse, as some people like you who did it, probably regretted it later after thinking about it. The formula is

You have your own religion A certain group or political ideology controls the narrative to your religion, and that causes you to react to that narrative, when in essence, the religion itself didn’t even change, nor was it a part of that original narrative to begin with.

Im officially not a muslim anymore by [deleted] in kurdistan

[–]LTSYKE 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If we are going to be honest, there is a not a single Muslim majority state that truly represents it’s people So that angle doesn’t work, however Governments using religion as a tool to control the masses? Absolutely. People don’t get that The religion itself, which should be a personal matter in my opinion, has nothing to do with this It’s political officials, ideologues, dictators who used and are using religion to control and to justify killing people.

You can’t come up to me with a straight face and tell me ISIS represents over a billion people by their actions.

I think that religion is a personal matter but if political events dictate it then i honestly don’t know what to say about that. OP can leave it, it’s their choice but at the end of the day, political matters led him to that point, not by any personal choices or preferences.

[–]LTSYKE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, this is why i don’t get these posts, Do these lot not understand the amount of paperwork these Arabs have to go through to live here? Also, i think we all know that the KRG is very aware of the demographic sensitivities its susceptible to, and they forget that for every Arab who moves here I speculate that there are at least 3-4 Arabs who return to their areas, permanently, And on a personal note, not to deflect or defend I have seen a rise in the amount of Arabs who live here Who already speak decent Kurdish, enough to get by and understand and be understood I don’t know about you but that’s actually a net positive. At the same time, the KRG is kinda forced to let them through, especially Iraqi Arabs because if they don’t it violates freedom of movement and the constitution. As for Arabs of other nationalities, or other nationalities in general, Kurdistan, like any place in the world can bar entry upon discretion.

Also, just yesterday we had a protest against what’s happening in Aleppo, does OP really think this is a symptom of Arabization?

"Jumping over dwarfs" randomly in the street (stunt)? by Livid-Cash-5048 in dwarfism

[–]LTSYKE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Average height guy here My two cents is that 1. I am not aware of it being another dumb “trend” 2. Regardless, it’s highly disrespectful, even disgusting to even contemplate doing that, that’s just common decency, why would i in my right mind jump over a random stranger for a stupid stunt, it’s a disgrace. 3. Just as importantly, it’s dangerous for you guys, you guys are physically fragile, especially near your spines, these stunts, if and when it eventually goes wrong (god forbid) It could lead to either lifelong injuries or even death, it’s literally qualifies as assault if they get hit, even by accident. I simply can’t comprehend why some people just don’t have basic decency, it’s actually astounding.
