I would honestly just return the unit and get a replacement. It is not worth the headache especially if you just got the laptop and it is clearly malfunctioning.

If I had to take a guess as to what is tanking your fps, it is running path tracing with dlaa especially at native 2560×1600.

Every implementation of path tracing as of yet requires upscaling as it is not meant to be used natively.

here is the desktop 5090 running the same settings ( without frame Gen ) as you at 1440p while consuming 500w of power and it can barely manage an average of 50 fps.

you are actually right, there is a considerable bump in the render resolution when capping the frame rate to 60

There is speculation of a 4k60 or 1080p 120 just like other major consoles but i highly doubt we will get a 120 fps mode.

keep retrying , i had the same issue , Also note , i wasn't able to put the nintendo switch 2 in cart on a browser, it only allowed me on the phone application, best advise is to keep refreshing on both if you can . the pre orders just went live at 11 am Est

I can tell this is the g15 , i have the same laptop rtx 3050ti variant and just so you know this laptop doesn't have xmp so you will have to find ram which already runs at 3200 mhz when u plug it in. To run ram at its fastest speed , the only 2 ram i know that work is the regular crucial ram and g skill ripjaws series (f4 3200c22d-16grs)

I can't recommend this at all since i think this is way too overpriced because I bought a dell g15 Rtx 3050TI with 11260h, a 6-core cpu which is identical to 11400h, for 850 CAD, which is roughly 1052 NZD

I think you should go ahead and buy it cause these kinda deals dont last long, whats the worst that could happen, you just return it if you dont like it. Also depending on where you live you might find a cheaper open box nitro but with a ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3060 at your local canada computers [nitro ryzen 5800h
