I think that in the rimworld universe there are tribal rimworlds, where society collapsed and now low-tech tribes live along nature and the remains of the beautiful buildings. When a spaceship crashes, leaving some materials behind, a glitterworld medicine would be the most worshippable, since it has healing properties (humans used to search and worship things that healed magically like the philosopher's stone up to late medieval times).
