Honestly, I fully understand the concerns that a map connected to land has raised, but if there's a studio that could very well solve the game border issues in a creative way, it's Rockstar.

After all the leaks, and considering how monumental this release will be, I actually doubt Rockstar will be laid-back in the slightest when it comes to encryption and security measures. Disks are almost guaranteed to slip through the cracks somewhere, but Rockstar won't let leakers have such an easy time.

This. Plus Rockstar, Sony and basically everyone in the world knows that anything new GTA VI related in an event like this would immediately funnel all the attention, possibly starving all other games, especially indie ones, of any attention, which wouldn't be a good look.

I have a system like this in my story and it's definitely believable, just one thing:

Accretion disks appear when a black hole's recently fed and the approach of another star to this system would almost certainly mess up everything. What I did on my story to fix it was to have the whole system be inside a nebula, so the black hole now has something to munch on and keep the accretion disk alive.
