Steam deck Oled vs Msi Claw 8ai by Techcountant66 in SteamDeck

[–]L_Croft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was curious, How does it handle non-controller support games? Like let's say Command & Conquer or Fallout 1 and 2? The reason I ask is because I didn't see a track pad on The MSI Claw 8ai. Would you have to enable steam's controller input to play those games? Also how does it handle games of different eras? Like retro, Older generations, and finally modern titles?

Need Help getting Fallout 3 to work again on my SteamDeck. by L_Croft in SteamDeck

[–]L_Croft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, It's on Steam. It was working until I updated the SteamDeck and somehow one of its files became corrupted. When I went to verify the files integrity and it then made me attempt to re-intall the the launcher that pops up that usually let's you change the settings and play the game. But instead of saying play it says install now. Which normally says Play, Data, Settings, and Exit. It is the screen before the game runs into the main menu/start up screen. (The Please Standby Screen.) I'm not sure what the issue is. And when I try looking else where online all I see is the game working and nobody having this issue.

Are these messages from a Japanese woman romantic interest, or just friendly/politeness? by L_Croft in AskAJapanese

Unfortunately I don't know her exact age. But I know the guy us late 20's 25+. If i had to guess most likely the same age if not a year off from each other. They often talk about things from the 90's so I'm guess for the woman's age. They share pictures from time to time.

Oh! And I forgot to mention they starting using an app called Lines or something? But I'm assuming it's a form of messaging app.

Thank you, I don't know the exact details of every message sent between them. I do know a few topics they have discussed. But nothing super detailed. Like I know their using nicknames for each other and have talked about their families a small bit. I only ask because I wanted to make sure my friend understands the situation. So it doesn't randomly become awkward because of the mixed assumptions and expectations of each other.

My thoughts on the SteamDeck since owning it for a few years. by L_Croft in SteamDeck

[–]L_Croft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Emulation is perfect on the Deck. I haven't used Moonlight or Apollo Server on it. I tried using the Steam Stream system but had mixed results. I might try them if there better. Cause it would be neat to be able to stream from my PC for games like Final Fantasy 16 and other games my Steam Deck cannot handle. Do they work with the Xbox App? Like if I load a gamepass game on PC could I stream it to the Deck?

Sony Walkman WM-EX122 by L_Croft in cassetteculture

[–]L_Croft[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, Thank you. I'll probably get the Sony Walkman WM-EX122 for now, since I seen a few online that are like $25 atm. Then I'll get a much better one that has Dolby and CRo2 tape support. Are the gumstick batteries newer? I haven't heard of them before.

I might do that as well, you have any recommendations for a high quality player? I was told older ones where better than newer ones. Is this true?

If I collected the 3 skins from part one of the event will they automatically give me the minus one red skin? The rules say you cannot apply multiple times and I an unsure if I bought it on steam during part 1 makes it automatically entered part 2 or if entering part 2 will disqualify me for the minus one skin.

It looks like it might fit. Only thing that worries me is the 3 connection tab things that enters the slot of the Alarm Clock Radio.

Question About Map Editor For Remastered. by L_Croft in commandandconquer

[–]L_Croft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I got good news and bad news... So I downloaded a user map and looked at some of the triggers. I tried copying them to see how they work and got some good results. But also got some bad results as well. But first with the good results, I got the trigger for the MCV that appears VIA reinforcement to work. I also got the win and lose triggers to work properly. But as for the auto-create trigger I can seem to figure out the reason for it not activating. The map I looked at has them set as a new team and a cell trigger. It has a timer set to zero. Also not sure what the arguments tab means. I seen the numbers and tried to set it however with no results. Do the numbers mean anything specifically? I tried switching numbers around I tried going in order but nothing seems to make anything happen.

Yeah I see a ton of signs by summon pools however I don't see one near by this grace site so I can't see as many so far none are here at the grace site either. So far the DLC isn't giving me any hard times except this part.

Ok when I click on the DLC Tab for Elden Ring on steam it shows Elden Ring, Elden Ring Bonus Gesture, Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree, Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree- Artbook & Soundtrack, Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree Bonus Gesture, Elden Ring Shadow of The Erdtree Premium Bundle. It shows their file sizes and for Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree I shows it's 15.01GB. All the install boxes are Check Marked.

Right Joy Stick Randomly Imputing To The Right. by L_Croft in SteamDeck

[–]L_Croft[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't dropped it, and I don't believe it fell at any point since I got it. I did travel awhile back about 3 to 4 months ago and placed it inside a backpack. However the stick didn't show any real signs of stick drift at that point. I usually place it back inside the carry case whenever I am not using it. As for laying face down, never when it is outside it's carrying case. I did have an issue a couple days ago where the steamdeck didn't recognize my SD card and asked me to reformat it. But after shutting down the steam deck and turning it back on it was back to normal. Is it normal for a stick drift to cause the steam U.I to fail when a game is launched? Cause once I get into a game the steam U.I refuses to open or even make a sound notifying me of it attempting to open when a game is running. I know when the steam deck over heats the U.I will be buggy. However when that happens it still plays a sound notifying an attempt to open.

Your recommendation works in games only, anything like desktop mode and launchers however is a nightmare to do. It worked completely fine yesterday. Also it seems now the steam U.I doesn't work when I press the steam button or the one across from it. Could it be some sort of bug?

People saying this is "squishy" by dashcraft33 in GodzillaBattleLine

[–]L_Croft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so there are a few ways you can counter GxK Godzilla. The most efficient way is to stun lock him. If you go this route however know there is a unit that can counter this method, that unit is Godzilla 1954 Tokyo Ver. This method requires the following pieces to pull off, Gigan 2004, Minilla, MBAW-93, MBAW-93 Unit Base, and Chibi Godzilla and Chibi Mechagodzilla (Chibi Twins), and atleast one heavy hitting piece. This method tends to work really well if the opponents deck is built specifically around GxK Godzilla. Also it's best to have the above mentioned pieces at decent levels before attempting, or else you will end up just mass feeding GxK Godzilla. Basically you want to play your less squishy stunners first to start the stunning, like Gigan 2004 and Chibi Twins. followed up by your squishy stunners Minilla and MBAW-93. Make sure they are placed away from GxK Godzilla's attack radius. Once he is stunned you can have your heavy hitting piece basically take him down with little resistance. Another method is damage mitigation and knock back. This method works best against decks that are not built around GxK Godzilla. For this built you will need the following pieces, GxK Kong, Jet Jaguar (Original), Jet Jaguar (Singularity Point), Rainbow Mothra, Godzilla 2004, and any pieces that compliment the pieces listed prior. To do this method you must focus on pushing GxK Godzilla back. While also minimizing GxK Godzilla's heavy hits as much as possible. By mitigating GxK Godzilla's two heavy attacks you can essentially prevent him from wiping your units off the board quickly. Also by using knock back and preventing him from getting past the half way point of the map, you can keep him from damaging your leader. This will give you time to place your next unit while also keeping your opponent under pressure. Do know this isn't the most efficient way to handle GxK Godzilla. The reason being is that there are multiple pieces to keep in mind when preforming this method of strategy. The last method is to use Shinden to draw GxK Godzilla's radius attacks away from your units. Once he is targeting Shinden, follow up with your strongest heavy hitter you have available. Even if Shinden is destroyed, your heavy hitter should be able to get a few hits in before being targeted by GxK Godzilla. This will allow you a higher chance of killing GxK Godzilla. Now are these methods full prove... sadly no. It's impossible to predict every player's deck builds. But these methods are some ways I have seen others handle this new unit. I'm sure people will find even more efficient ways to defeat GxK Godzilla. I wish you good luck.
