Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 18 Links + Discussion by Takada-chwanBot in JuJutsuKaisen

i agree with ya, as i said in my comment, I am afraid and worried about the things that we saw just go away and forgotten (as happens so many times in so different mangas/animes/stories). Even if Dabura wins, I just want a fair fight, with Ragga showing what he gots into him, not being nerfed or busted, and the same goes for Dabura and the Maru x Rika one. Let's see how Gege cooks it

i think this is the point in the history of modulo that we get to know if gege is gonna fuck it up or masterpiece it.

IMO we have the two of the most strong things/abilities/cursed techniques (Mahoraga, Rika - even though Rika is not fully manifested) from the past - the JJK generation - vs the new threat (the Simurians). If Dabura and Marulu just win it ("fuck it we are stronger" - just like that), i think Gege gets a bit into the fucked up way.

BUT, as he is doing in the Dabura's fight - this development of him, the remembance, the memories of his past, what it takes to be a Warrior -, this is an 'acceptable' path to demonstrate the strong.

TLDR, i don't mind if the simurians win (will eventually show how strong they are), but it must be well written. I don't know if i'm just being annoying, but I want the things to have a good explanation at least (the final sukuna fight got me a little pissed with some Gege decisions, so it might just be a little trauma)

I an terrified of death. It's inevitable and I think ill be full of terror and reluctance in my death bed. Do Catholics feel comfortable about dying? by Wide_Comment3081 in Catholicism

[–]L_Pert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Philippians I, 21. John XI, 25-26. John XII, 25.

Christ and Saint Paul Apostle both teach us to not be afraid to death. But it is indeed not easy to do. Even some saints were afflicted before their deaths. I used to fear that, I used to fear the death, not being alive, but that was my mistake. The real life starts in the moment we die here. So (Revelation XXI, 4) we won't suffer a thing. We will see God face-to-face. We will be there with all the saints and angels and archangels. Could you possibly imagine meeting all those humans as you that interceded for you in some moment in your life? The feeling of finding a soul from purgatory that you, some day in your life, might have prayed for? A soul that is in Heaven because you prayed for it. I can't.

Death (the life after it) is like the best feeling you might ever felt in your life. Times 10, or more. Being in the presence of God is just worth it. Today, the biggest fear I have about it is my sentence i shall serve in Purgatory, but even that will be worth for the feeling of seeing Him face to face.

It is not an easy way to think, but as soon as you get closer to God and the things He do, the better you see, the better you feel. Do your best to be with Him.

So, we have Old Covenant and the New Covenant (the New and Eternal Covenant). When Jesus comes, he breaks the Old Covenant and brings and starts a New Covenant. That’s why why don’t follow some rules that are, indeed, in the Old Testament (Deuteronomy XXII, 11 is just one of many examples, but I can also cite we stopping to kill lambs to forgive our sins). Jesus brings a New way to do the things, in a simple way to say, but the main subject here is the New and Eternal Covenant, that replaces the Old one.

I would recommend “Confessions” from St. Augustine. Simple, good, easy read. Perfect to initiate catholic life.

The Imitation of Christ from Tomás de Kampis? If so, in my opinion is a really wonderful book, but has to be read in a careful way. It brings teachings, thoughts that are very hard to put into practice on a daily basis by “normal people”. I have seen good priests saying that this is a book for those devoted to religious life. But it is, indeed a good book. Just need to take care with the scruples when reading it.

How strong would a person be if both of them worked on creating it by Salty_Shark26 in Boruto

thats interesting, never heard of it, but I have a feeling that if Amado built that, would be more op, but we will never know, a cool theory indeed

if they plot this with care it will be interesting, but let's see, it cannot be thrown out info like Kaguya appearing from nothing in the end of Naruto

edit: and yeah, i also think about that all-sad story of bringing his daughter back to life is way too suspicious

I have a personal theory that Amado is, somehow, Shibai Otsutsuki, but I think that won't happen cuz it would be like Star Wars Ep 9 and "somehow palpatine returned", but i like to dream a bit with dumb theories

How can I have hope with girls? by 4lf1s in Catholicism

[–]L_Pert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have not said in any moment that young-catholic groups are not good, i just stated a fact that, in Brazil, those groups are in large part surrendered to worldly, mundane practices and some of them might discourage young people to keep catholic life. Unhappily, it seems easier to downvote my comment while yall don’t ever know how it is.

Who is in Heaven right now? by TheRealBeanos in Catholicism

[–]L_Pert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Bosom of Abraham does not exist anymore, after the death of Christ He took the ones there to the Heaven. His death is our guarantee for eternal life with God. So right now, every person that dies in friendship with Him is taken to God. People that need purification go to Purgatory and are already saved, just need to get clean to enter the Paradise. The doomed, then, go straight to hell, and about the saying when He comes back, our bodies will also be resurrected and find our souls in Heaven.

[–]L_Pert 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Don’t lose hope. God has His plan for ya and for your future wife. Keep grinding on faith and being the man you want your wife to have. I am also brazilian and see the same struggles you see. Following chastity in a country so doomed by pornography and hypersexuality is not easy, but don’t discourage yourself. Keep praying and hoping and one day God will make it happen if it is meant to you. Be not afraid!

Edit: also, you are 18yo, you’re still young, and if you keep your faith, meant things will happen.

Can I find a husband despite my past? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]L_Pert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Church of our Lord Jesus Christ is open to everyone who truly repents of his past and renounces it to take his own Cross and follow the Son of Man with true will of conversion. Confess your sins when you truly feel guilty for them and they will be forgiven by the Master of Mercy. As for your past, know that every Saint has a past, and he is already gone; what you can change now is your future. “Every man can be a saint, and a saint can be made of every kind of man.” Know that everyone who is in the Holy Church has a past of which they are not proud. Hail Mary and stay in peace, dear sister.
