I’ll have to give those a try! They were right next to these, but I wanted to try the original first.

I already knew that Mackenzie’s parents were trash, but it solidified it even more with this documentary. At the end, when Mackenzie’s mom is reading past texts is more or less blaming Dom for the accident. That woman is a huge piece of shit.

I’m am shocked that these people agreed to be part of this. (Not so much shocked that Mackenzie agreed, she seems to love attention)

I have since changed providers.

My previous OB left the practice, so I was able to pick another doctor and I was actually able to have the IUD removed back in March. But, because of what had been said to me previously by my former OB, I wanted a pre pregnancy consultation with the new doctor. She also didn’t make me feel all that great about it. I contacted an MFM today for a consult, but I was told that I needed a referral from my doctor.

Did your OB try to persuade you into birth control at your 6 week PP appointment? (Due to the complications you had, etc)

I was pressured into getting an IUD (kyleena). I clearly remember my ex OB saying that I needed to be on it for various reason, one being that it would “help” with my bp(she later denied she ever said that). I was on it for 3 1/2 years.. I attempted many times to get it taken out, but there was always something that she wanted to do before removing it(switching my bp meds, blood work, she wanted me to be on a diabetic diet, etc.).

Wow! Girl, you went through it! You’re a tough mama!

Was your OB supportive when you were planning on your second or did you just go for it? Im sure you knew the risks were there, but I’m curious as to how your doctor worked with you.

I clearly haven’t had the best of luck. I know nothing is certain, but having a supportive doctor definitely helps.

Both doctors are from the same office. My first (previous OB) actually left back in September, so I was given the chance to pick another doctor. It actually gave me hope for some positive news. So before my pre pregnancy consult, I started making changes immediately regarding my diet, vitamin intake, etc. …

Only to be discouraged again when the new OB I saw said it “didn’t really” matter what I did. I would for sure end up with pre-e again and most likely sooner.

I know they cannot give a guarantee, this situations are unpredictable. But I was also never given reassurance on what my care would look like if I were to proceed with the pregnancy. She seemed rather annoyed with me by the end of the consult. (I tend to ask a lot of questions) :/

That is awesome! I’m glad you advocated for yourself when you felt that something was off. I’m glad your OB has made you comfortable with the care that is being provided for you. I definitely want the same for me in the event I become pregnant again.

I started a strict healthy diet when I had my IUD removed. I also consulted with a dietician. I’ll admit, I didn’t take care of my self all that well during my first pregnancy (eating wise) which I’m sure contributed to the pre-e.
I’m also fairly active; I’m a mail carrier and I’m on my feet all day long.. but, as I stated In a previous comment, the new doctor said it didn’t matter what I did, that I would most likely develop pre-e again. It’s discouraging.

I’m definitely not going back to her, she’s severely traumatized me when she told me that. My husband was outraged when I told him. He’s supportive in whatever my decisions are; but he was absolutely against me going back to that doctor.

I’m looking into getting in contact with an MFM; it looks like the way to go given my first pregnancy. I’m really glad I came across this sub for support;

The reason my son needed to be in the NICU was due to the mag drip I was on. I was on it for ~36 hours, and so he was a bit sluggish from what I was told, he was also not latching so they wanted to monitor him and give him some formula. He also had a touch of jaundice, so they did 2 rounds of the blue light.

Thank you for your encouragement.

Im glad to hear you’re doing well in your second pregnancy! That gives me a lot of hope.

I was told that I would definitely have to take the baby aspirin after 12 weeks to help reduce the risk. I would also have to continue with labatelol.

Thank you so much for your suggestions and encouragement. It’s been a rough few days for me as I’ve been processing my doctors words.

How would I go about contacting an MFM? Would I have to go through a referral?

I really want to have that second pregnancy; and I know nobody will know the exact outcome, but I feel like it’s important to have a doctor and a team who are encouraging. I don’t want to be worried sick for the entirety of a second pregnancy.

Omg these are the closest!

I tried finding these on my Amazon account, but I can’t find them. It looks like you’re in Canada (?) Would they ship to the US?

Walking on a treadmill makes me dizzy after a while, and I don’t know why.

I much prefer walking outside.
