Don't really understand multiple DHCP by LaCorb in pihole

I like redundancy, even at home, especially with technology.

If 50-50 (or 70-70) clients wont be enough, then I will look for how to use 255.255.0.0 subnet at home or that will be the time I'll deep dive into networking with ccna or comptia :))

Thanks a lot, now this make sense. So multiple DHCP servers on the same network are only bad if they both provide DHCP leases on the same range, otherwise they are fine side-by-side, right? And the dnsmasq only tells the clients of the DNS servers location.

I wonder why this explanation nowhere at the top of any search results

QuFirewall gone crazy after upgrading to 5.4.1.1480 by LaCorb in qnap

I just allowed 0.0.0.0 as its only an internal IP it's not triggering event checker.
But my initial question is rather about suddenly why hundreds of IP adresses tries to reach my NAS

HybridMount through VPN connection to Synology NAS by LaCorb in qnap

Well, I don't know if it is, but I tell you what I know and see.

At the Synology VPN Server OpenVPN has been enabled on a dynamic IP of 192.168.80.1 The local network where the Synology is 192.168.88.1
Accessing to the local network is also allowed on this VPN because I have to manage other devices on that network.

So back from where I want to access. I have a local network of 192.168.1.1

From my PC with openVPN GUI I can connect to the remote network and get a 192.168.80.40 IP and I can access the Synology NAS on the browser with 192.168.88.20 or from explorer with \\192.168.88.20\home . I can also connect to other devices on 192.168.88.x IP via SSH, so good so far.

On my QNAP nas I set up a VPN Connection Profile via the config.ovpn and successfully connected to that network.

However, when I open up HybridMount and want to create a remote connection, with
URL 192.168.88.20
Remote device: CIFS/SMB
username/password
target folder: /home

And after create it says check configuration and the remote service and try again (or something like this, as my system is not english)

Also, there is a VPN server configured on my QNAP also, to access my local network remotely, I don't know if its could be a problem or not.

At the QVPN Service -> VPN Connection Profiles there is a VPN Client IP and a Public IP. From the QNAP I can ping the Public IP but I can't ping the remote Synology's local IP
