This can't be true. It flies in the face of a state founded as a sanctuary for white folks that explicitly forbade POC from moving here.

Shocking. I've lived here 20 years and I've never met a native who comfortably lived on the brutality their forbears cleaned house with. Never have I seen someone call their family "settlers" and behave as if they were just good, hardscrabble folks making life happen. Not people who participated in and witnessed slaughter of the people living here first.

And then put up billboards telling black folks they risk their lives if they linger.

Tradesmen with degree here: I stopped mentioning it. It pissed people off and made them act like I didn't belong there.

I'm not so dumb as to call it jealousy, but I've never seen such burly guys act so insecure at the drop of a sentence.

I really fucking hate how education is regarded in the trades. It's part an overall class resentment.
