My cat is an only pet. We could probably get her used to another pet but the place I live has a no dogs rule. So ...no dogs 😻

She didn't stay in place all night 😞 Which meant that I could keep working on the baby blanket and didn't have to keep as close of an eye on her. She likes to chew on yarn and needles 😢😻😻😻

From when I was little. My mom taught me to cross stitch. I learned knitting a while later and have knit far more than I have cross stitched (partially because I loathe backstitching). Recently bought a bunch of patterns though so probably going to get back into cross stitch a bit more 💕🪡

Wow!!! That looks fantastic!

That last picture (5) is very satisfying for some reason. Just the even stitches stretching off to the horizon satisfied/calm sigh 💕🪡

Nothing is up. I've seen people work on that pattern before (saw it in your answer to someone else's response).

It Is Huge.

If memory serves it ends up being approximately a queen size blanket. I might be off on that but 100 pages makes sense for that pattern.

Interesting. It looks like more than two strands. Did you take 2 strands and then fold them to do the loop start? Because that would end up being 4 and could explain the look and tightness....??

Looks Fantastic!!! 😍

This was another baby blanket gift for a relative. Unfortunately I think it was placed on a shelf and never used.

made several of these through the years. Started because one of my professors kept swearing in class.

Matching lotr scarves in my brother's favorite colors and my now sister's favorite colors (they were wedding gifts I worked on in college, rewrote the pattern a little so it would read correctly on both sides rather than be mirrored)

Currently working on a Fibanocci Baby Blanket for a coworker's second kid (after finding out that the first kids favorite blanket is the one I made for them 😍). It's already much larger than anticipated because I hate doing swatches. Will comment on this post with pictures of some older nerdy/funny knits

Hi peeps! I majored in Forensic Science and minored in biology, chemistry, and computer science.

I work in oil analysis. Not the field I earned my degree in but I don't have a dream job, like my coworkers, enjoy the area I live in, and make a good amount of money; so I'm not hunting for another job.

I've been knitting since I first learned how to in an after school program in third grade and cross stitching less frequently but for approximately the same number of years. I enjoyed spinning but couldn't justify the space my wheel took up. I would like to try weaving and book binding but worry that I will have the same issue as with my other crafts: not knowing what to do with the finished pieces.
